China Glaze - Looking Bootiful

Idag blir det ett Halloween lack även om Halloween redan är över. Men för min del spelar det inte någon större roll vilken kollektion ett lack tillhör. Jag använder alla typer av färger året runt faktiskt. Visst på hösten drar man sig mer åt mörkare, men det betyder ju inte att jag kan känna för att ta på mig pastell även en höst eller vinterdag.

I alla fall så är det här China Glaze Looking Bootiful ett lack i en härlig mellanlila nyans som är ganska skarp i tonen. Dock insåg jag redan vid första penseldraget på första nageln att det är en jelly och det var ganska knepigt att få det jämt på nageln. Däremot täcker det ganska bra och tre lager tycker jag funkade alldeles utmärkt. En annan sak som jag inte var nöjd med var torktiden som var seg. Faktiskt riktigt seg. Tyckte inte ens att mitt snabbtorkande topplack hjälpte tillräckligt.

Men färgen är i alla fall väldigt fin, men för min del så finns det andra lila som jag gillar lika mycket som varken är jelly eller segtorkande.

Today you will get a Halloween polish although Halloween is already over. But for my part it plays no major role what kind of collection a polish belongs too. I use all kinds of colors all year round actually. Certainly in the autumn I get drawn to darker ones, but that does not mean that I can't feel like wearing pastel even a fall or winterday.

In any case, this is China Glaze Looking Bootiful a polish in a lovely medium purple shade that is quite sharp in tone. However, I realized at the first brush stroke on the first nail that this is a jelly and it was quite tricky to get it evenly on the nail. But it does cover quite well and after three layers it is almost opaque at least to satisfy me. Another thing I was not happy with was the drying time which was tough. Actually really tough. Not even my fast-drying topcoat helped totally. 

But the color is certainly very nice, but for me there are other purple which I like as much and that is neither jelly or slow drying. 

Pink with roses!

Stickers utskickade för recension.

När jag hade målat med Appeal4 Copenhagen Girls häromdagen kom jag på att det nog skulle funka rätt bra med ett av arken med stickers jag fått för recension från Born Pretty Store över detta. 

Sagt och gjort jag plockade fram förpackningen och döm om min förvåning när det på dom här som jag vet är stickers står instruktioner för waterdecals på baksidan. När jag testade varor från BPS sist så var det tvärt om. 

I vilket fall som helst så var dom här väldigt lätta att få upp från plasten och lätta att placera. Den förpackningen jag fick har rosor i rosa och blått med guldkanter. Och så här i efterhand ångrar jag lite att jag tog den blåa på en nagel för dom rosa funkade verkligen jättefint, men jag stör mig nog lite på den blåa.

When I had painted with Appeal4 Copenhagen Girls the other day I realized that it probably would work quite well with one of the sheets with stickers, I received for review from Born Pretty Store over this.

Said and done, I picked up the package and imagine my surprise when I realized that these wich I knew were stickers had instructions for waterdecals on the back. When I tested products from BPS the last time it was the oposit.  Finally, it was the opposite.

In any way they were very easy to get up from the plastic and easy to place. The package I got has roses in pink and blue with gold edges. And in retrospect, I regret a bit that I took the blue rose on one of the nails because the Pink worked really very nice but the blue kind of disturbes me.

September & October Haul!

Dags att visa lite flaskbilder igen. Förra gången var i Augusti och då skrev jag att jag hade en del på väg hem.

Det jag visar idag är inte riktigt alla för en del är redan visade på bloggen och dom har nog inte kommit med här tror jag.

Däremot är det rätt lugnt på inköpsfronten just nu. Jag har ett på väg hem, men det är allt faktiskt. Om jag inte lyckas få tag på en Secret Santa Sack, men eftersom den släpps mitt i natten lär jag inte lyckas med det.

Nåväl nu till alla fina som står och väntar på att bli använda.

Time to show you my latest haul again. Last time was in August and at that point I wrote that I had a whole bunch on the way.

What I'm going to show you today is that bunch minus a few that I already shown swatches of. 

In fact I don't have much incoming though. One bottle that I know of and maybe if I get lucky I will get a Secret Santa Sack, but those will be released in the middle of the night so I guess they will be gone when I wake up.

Appeal4 - Copenhagen Girls

Trodde ni jag hade slut på rosa lack? Nej då, det finns faktiskt ett otestat gäng till i samlingen och idag får ni se ett från det Danska märket Appeal4. Ett märke som jag har börjat tycka riktigt mycket om.

Copenhagen Girl är ett lite dammigt rosa krämlack från deras höstkollektion. Lite ovanligt med den här färgen i en höstkollektion kan jag nog tycka, men kul när det inte bara är dom "vanliga" färgerna.

Formulan på det här var något lite knepigare än på de andra lacken från Appeal4 som jag testat, men ett krämlack som går mot det pastelliga är ofta lite värre att jobba med än andra. Dock upplevde jag inte det som ett stort problem och lacket täcker på två lager och torkar fort. Lite strimmigt på första lagret, men andra rättade till det och topplacket gjorde susen.

Visst det här är en trevlig färg, men kanske inte någon som jag direkt kommer längta efter att bära. Däremot är jag glad att jag har det här i min samling för jag har inte något liknande rosa och det här är perfekt till nailart.

 

Did you think I'd run out of pink polishes? No, it's actually a bunch left in my untried drawer and today you will see one of them from the Danish brand Appeal4. A brand that I have started to think really highly of.

Copenhagen Girls is a little dusty pink cream polish from their autumn collection. I think it's a little unusual with this color in a fall collection, but fun when it's not just the "ordinary" colors.

The formula of this was something a little trickier than the other polishes from Appeal4 I tested, but a cream polish that goes against the pastel are often a little harder to work with than others. However, I didn't experienced it as a big problem and it did cover in two coats and dries quickly. The first layer was a little streaky,  but it smoothens out on the second and with topcoat on it all looks great.

Certainly this is a nice color, but perhaps not one I will directly crave to wear. However, I am glad that I have this in my collection because I don't have any other pink that is similar and this is perfect for nail art.

Catrice - Purplelized

Catrice Purplelized har stått länge i min låda. Jag tror jag köpte det på Tradera för i alla fall fyra år sedan.

Det ser faktiskt inte så lockande ut i flaskan vilket jag tror är anledningen till att det blivit stående så länge. På naglarna är det ett riktigt fint lack.

Ett mörkt lila som går mycket åt det gråa hållet med en metallicfinish som jag tycker är mycket snygg.

Själva formulan var bra, men oj vad sakta det torkade. Man kanske skulle haft tre lager, men jag orkade inte vänta på mer än två. På bilderna är det topplack på och det är absolut nödvändigt med
tanke på torktiden.

Jag gillar det här, men kommer förmodligen inte använda det ofta dels för jag har alldeles för mycket lack att välja på och då tar jag ett som torkar snabbare.

Catrice Purplelized has been standing a long time in my drawer. I think I bought it at Tradera (swedish ebay) for maybe four years ago.

It actually doesn't look very attractive in the bottle which I think is why it has been standing for so long. On the nails however it's a really nice finish.

A dark purple which leans towards grey with a metallic finish, which I think is very nice looking.

The actual formula was good, but oh how slowly it dried. If the drying time hadn't been that long I might have put on three layers, but now I stopped at two. In the pictures I have topcoat on and it's absolutely necessary given the drying time.

I like this polish but will probably not use it often and partly because I have way too much polishes to choose from and I will probably reach for one that dries faster.
