Grön Onsdag - China Glaze Starboard

Karin på Vacker & Underbar kom förra veckan på att vi skulle ha Grön Onsdag och varför inte. Jag hänger på när det passar ihop med det jag lyckats måla på och det gjorde det den här veckan :)

Nu blev det China Glaze två dagar i rad och faktiskt också lack inköpta på GeKå:s i Ullared två dagar i rad. Det här lacket har jag haft mina ögon på sen jag såg en jobbarkompis ha det redan tidigt förra året. Sen skaffade jag Loreals Green Couture och tyckte att det räckte med den. Nu har jag inte gjort någon jämförelse mellan dom här två, men det känns absolut som det finns likheter.

I alla fall så är Starboard ett härligt gräsgrönt krämlack från Anchors Away kollektionen. Finns en hel del trevliga lack i den. Lite i tunnaste laget kände jag när jag lackade, men ändå kontrollerbart. Två lite tjockare lager räcker. Visst blir torktiden lite längre då, men det funkar. På bilderna har jag inget överlack, så som ni ser blir det en mycket trevlig yta av lacket.

Allt som allt är jag väldigt glad att jag köpte det här. Fin färg och bra grund till nailart.

Now you get to see China Glaze two days in a row and actually polishes I purchased at Geka's in Ullared two days in a row. This polish I've had my eye on since I saw it on a work mate early last year. Then I got Loreals Green Couture and thought it was enough with that. Now I have not done any comparison between them, but it feels absolutely as there are similarities.

In all cases Starboard a lovely grass green creme polish from the Anchors Away collection. There are a lot of nice polishes in that collection. I felt that the formula was a bit thin when I painted, but still controllable. Two little thicker layers works perfectly for cover. Sure the drying time gets  a bit longer then, but it works. In the pictures, I have no top coat, so as you can see the polish is very glossy and nice even without.

All in all I'm very glad I bought this. Nice color and good base for nail art.

China Glaze Pure Torture

Hade jag vetat att det här var en jelly hade jag inte köpt det! Men när jag stod där på GeKås så såg färgen så lockande ut att den åkte ner i min korg utan att jag kollade så noga.

Och färgen, ja den älskar jag på Pure Torture, men inte resten. Jellys blir vackert glansiga och så, men jag har så svårt för VNL även om den faktiskt är rätt överkomlig just på det här lacket.

Att det är en ovanligt kladdig manikyr beror på att jag började på när klockan redan var över 10 och jag var trött. Jag upplevde lacket som rinnigt, men som sagt det kan vara så att jag helt enkelt inte skulle valt att lacka alls vid tidpunkten som gör att jag känner så. Jag har tre ganska så tjocka lager på och så ett lager med Seche över. Torktiden kommer jag faktiskt inte ens ihåg, vilket bör tyda på att den var helt normal.

Färgen på Pure Torture är en så där underbart härligt rödorange tomataktig en som jag tycker mycket om, men det hjälper inte. Jelly är inte och kommer inte att bli min grej förrutom när det gäller visa soft lack som typ OPI Don't touch my tutu.

Had I known this was a jelly, I had not bought it! But as I stood there on GeKås and saw the color that looked so tempting it went down in my shoppingcart without me thinking to much.

And the color, yes I love the color of Pure Torture, but not the rest. Jelly is beautifully glossy and so, but I have so difficult with the VNL even if it actually is less noticable on this polish.

The reason of the unusually messy manicures is because I started when the clock was already over 10 and I was tired. I experienced the polish as thin though, but like I said it may be that I simply should not  have chosen to paint at all at that time that makes me feel that way. I have three fairly thick layers on and then a coat of Seche over. The drying time I actually don't even remember, which would suggest that it was completely normal.

The color of Pure Torture is that wonderful beautiful red-orange tomato-like one that I like very much, but it does not help. Jelly is not and will not be my thing except for the soft varnish type OPI Do not touch my tutu.

SHC 15 - Blå Måndag

Det är nu jag måste erkänna en fullkomligt hel löjligt misstag jag gjort angående namnet på detta och ett annat lack jag köpte på Cypern.

Den andra lacket använde jag i min bokstavsresa till bokstaven J. Helt fel! För om jag vänt på flaskan och tittat ordentligt hade jag insett att om man läser namnet JHS så står Nailpolish upp och ner. Det ska vara SHC och då hittar jag till och med andra flaskor på nätet. Dock ingen information om varifrån lacket kommer, men ändå. Hur i hela friden kan man missa att något står upp och ner??

I alla fall så blev det ett bidrag till Mrs.Datas blå måndag denna veckan också. I form av SHC nr 15 så spännande namn har det här lacket nämligen. Ett ganska ljust blått lack med silver i som känns som en blandning av metall och foil. Fin formula, men det luktar absolut inte 3F. Jag vill minnas att det andra jag har var väldigt skirt, men så är inte alls fallet med detta. 2 lätta lager är vad jag har på och ett lager Seche på det. Torktiden var något längre än vanligt, men inte så lång att det blev jobbigt.

Sen kan jag också meddela att det var ingn bra idé att gå ut i onepiece i 8 gradig kyla och fota. Det var kallt!

Nåväl, jag tycker om det här, påminner lite om China Glaze Blue Bells Ring även om det lacket är mycket finare.

Färgen får mig att tänka på en av våra fåglar lite grann så därför får ni en extra pippibild idag.

 

This is the time for me to admit a completely ridiculous mistake I made regarding the name of this brand of polish that I bought in Cyprus.

The other bottle of this brand was used in my ABC journey for the letter J. Completely wrong! Because if I had turned the bottle and looked after properly, I would have realized that if you read the name of the polish as JHS the next word Nailpolish is upside down. It should be SHC and that makes me even find other bottles online. However, no information about where the lacquer comes from, but still. How on earth can you miss that something is upside down?

In all cases, this  is my contribution to Mrs.Datas Blue Monday this week. The exciting name of this is 15! A pretty pale blue coat with silver that feels like a mixture of metal and foil. Nice formula, but the smell is absolutely not 3F. I remember that the green one of this brand was very sheer, but that is not the case at all with this. Two easy applied layers is what I have on and a coat of Seche on it. The drying time was slightly longer than usual, but not so long that it became a hassle.

Then I can also tell you that it was not a good idea to go out in a onepiece in 8-degree chill and shoot the pictures. It was cold!

Well, I like this, reminds me of China Glaze Blue Bells ring even if that polish is much finer in my eyes.

The color makes me think of one of our budgies so therefore you get a bonus pictures of the birdies today.

Nailart Sunday - Prickar/Dotts

Äntligen ett tema som jag känner att jag behärskar och älskar :) Och vad gör jag då? Jo, inte fasiken gör jag en vanlig enkel prickig manikyr, nej jag lyssnar istället på min familj och ger mig på att göra nyckelpigor, för dom är ju prickiga!

Tack Lelack för dagens tema, jag är sjukt nöjd med detta förslaget och faktum är att jag är väldigt nöjd med resultatet av mitt lilla prickexperiment också.

Innan jag fortsätter vill jag dessutom be Zoya Rekha officiellt om ursäkt för allt jag sa i inlägget om dig innan jul. Den här gången blev det inte alls strimmigt och tråkigt. Inte var det speciellt svårt att lacka med heller. Så återigen förlåt mig, jag menade alls inte vad jag sa!

Som ni då förstår har jag använt mig av Zoya Rekha som bas till det här. Tre lager av den sen blev det prickar och detaljer av NOX Twillight Black Tie och lite Milani White on the spot till ögonen. Allt gjort på frihand med hjälp av dottingtools och nailart penslar.  Inget överlack på bilderna. Jag ville inte att det skulle bli några utdragna prickar, så jag väntade tills efter fotograferingen med det.

Finally a theme that I feel that I master and love :) And what do I do? Well, do I make a plain simple dotted manicure, no I listen instead to my family and went on to do ladybugs, because they're spotted!

Thanks Lelack for today's theme, I'm so pleased with this theme, and in fact I am very pleased with the outcome of my little dotting experiments too.

Before I continue, I would also like to give Zoya Rekha an officially apologize for everything I said in the post about you before Christmas. This time it was not at all streaky and dull. It was not particularly difficult to paint with either. So again I'm sorry, I did not at all mean what I said then!

As you know understand I have used Zoya Rekha as the basis for this. Three layers of that then there was dots and details with NOX Twillight Black Tie and a little Milani White on the spot to the eyes. All done by hand using dottingtools and nail art brushes. And no topcoat on the pictures.

Ert val / Readers Choice - Nubar Night Sparkle

Dags att visa lacket som ni röstade fram i denna veckans omröstning!

Ännu ett bra val tycker jag. Nubar Night Sparkle är ett mörkblått glitterlack. När jag målade tyckte jag att det kändes väldigt lätt att applicera och att få ett jämt lager med glitter. Tre lager som torka snabbt la jag på, men när jag tittar på bilderna är jag inte längre så säker på att det var så lätt att få det jämt. På bilderna verkar det vara en hel del VNL också, men det är inte något som jag upplever alls i verkligheten.

Ytan är ganska skrovlig så överlack är ett måste. Jag la på ett tjockt lager med Seche och det gjorde susen. Skulle säkert inte vara fel med ett lager till av Seche eller något annat.

Färgen är helt underbar på det här lacket. Mörkt blått som glittrar som safirer. Gillar man blått och glitter så är det här ett måste. Sen har jag ju själv lite svårt med ytor som inte är släta, så det hamnar ändå inte riktigt uppe på toppen i mina listor, men vackert det är det!

Another good choice I think. Nubar Night Sparkle is a dark blue glitter polish. When I painted, I thought it felt very easy to apply and to get an even layer of glitter. Three layers that dried quickly is what I put on, but when I look at the pictures, I am no longer so sure that it was so easy to get it all even. In the pictures, it also seems to be a lot of VNL,  but it's not something that I experience at all in reality.

The surface is quite rough so top coat is a must. I put on a thick layer of Seche and it did the trick. Would certainly not be wrong with another layer of Seche or anything else.

The color is absolutely gorgeous on this polish. Dark blue that sparkles like sapphires. If you like blue and glitter, this is a must. I have some difficultis with surfaces that are not smooth, so it ends up not quite at the top of my lists, but it sure is beautiful!
