Blue Jelly Sandwich!

Nu när jag ändå hade ett Jelly lack på så passade jag på att göra mig en liten sandwich.

Basen blev då förstås China Glaze Ride the Waves som redan satt på. Över det la jag ett lager av Milani Gems och sen ett lager Ride the Waves igen.

Resultatet blev ju helt ok tycker jag. Jag hade inte något blå/silvrigt glitter för då hade jag nog valt det istället tror jag. Nu fick det bli ett med massa färger istället.

Japp, jag är nöjd!

 

 

Well I had a Jelly on my nails so I took the opportunity to do me a sandwich.

The base was China Glaze Ride the Waves that was already on. Over there I added a layer of Milani Gems and then a layer of Ride the Waves again.

The result was quite ok I think. I did not have a blue / silvery glitter and that's bad because I would have used that instead of the multicolored Gems.

 Yep, I'm happy with the results!

China Glaze Ride the Waves

China Glaze Ride the Waves är ett av Summer Neons lacken. Nu är ju just det här inte alls något neonlack utan istället en jelly. En väldigt fin mörkblå jelly, men neon. Nä det vore väl en överdrift.

Efter att ha sett diverse swatcher så tänkte jag att jag skulle ha Zoya Minka under det här. Ingen bra idé! Det blev hur strimmigt och konstigt som helst så det var bara att börja om!

Det slutade med fyra lager med ganska vettig torktid. Däremot upplevde jag att den var lite tunn i konsistensen ville gärna flyta ut lite för mycket. Jelly's är ju som dom är så VNL finns det absolut. Det här är verkligen inte min favorit typ av lack. Jag tror att det var färgen som lockade mig för den är väldigt fin tycker jag. Härligt djupt blå.

Anledningen till att jag provade den här först av mina Summer Neons är enkel. Jag misstänkte att jag inte skulle gilla själva finishen så värst mycket och det hade jag ju rätt i. Gillar man däremot Jelly lack så är det här ett solklart alternativ.

Jag har fyra lager av Ride the Waves och ett lager China Glaze Fast Forward över på bilderna.

 

China Glaze Ride the Waves is one of the Summer Neons polishes. Now this aint a Neon at all instead it's a very nice dark blue jelly, but neon. Nah that would be an exaggeration.

After seeing various of swatches I thought that I would have Zoya Minka under this. Not a good idea! It turned out looking very streaky and strange so I had to do it all over again.

I ended up with four layers with a fairly decent drying time. However, I felt that it was a bit thin in texture wanted to float out a little too much. Jelly's is what they are and the fact is that you will get some VNL. This really is not my favorite type of varnish. I think it was the color that attracted me because it is very nice I think. Beautiful deep blue.

The reason I tried this first of my Summer Neons is simple. I suspected that I might not like the finish that much and that I was right with. If you like Jelly's, this is a very good one!

I have four layers of Ride the Waves and a layer of China Glaze Fast Forward on the pictures.

Nailart Sunday Wild with Stripes!

Jag har införskaffat mig en rulle med striping tape som jag ju absolut ville testa om jag kunde göra något kul med. Och det kunde jag!

Jag började med två lager av Zoya Rory. La på ett lager med Seche och lät det torka ordentligt. Sen satte jag på tejpen, lite pilligt, men roligt. Över detta valde jag att måla på Color Club Wild at heart. Ett mörklila snyggt holo. Väntade tills det torkat ordentligt och drog sedan bort tejpen. Och på toppen ett lager Seche till.

Resultat blev som ni ser på bilderna väldigt bra för att vara första gången jag testade. Det här kommer absolut att göras om med andra färgvariationer.

Nå, vad tycks? Något jag ska fortsätta att experimentera med?

I have purchased a roll of striping tape that I definitely wanted to see if I could do something fun with. And I could!

I started with two coats of Zoya Rory then a layer of Seche and let it dry thoroughly. Then I turned on the tape, a bit fiddly, but fun. Over this, I chose to paint with Color Club Wild at Heart. A purple nice holo. Waited until it was completely dry and then pulled the tape off. On top of a layer Seche.

The result was as you see in the pictures very good to be the first time I tested. This will definitely be repeated with other color variations.

Har det också trillat in en del trevliga saker i min brevlåda! Och jag vet att det kommer att trilla in mera veckan som kommer. För då räknar jag med att mina Nailmail lack kommer och ett paket från Llarowe med mera Ozotics.

Summan som jag skrev i Nailtastics Söndagsenkät har nog varit lite högre den här månaden tror jag, men om man slår ut det på ett år så stämmer nog det jag skrev där rätt bra.

Midsommar Holo med A-England Lady Of The Lake

Glad Midsommar alla bloggläsare!

Efter jag använt min svärdotter som slumpgenerator kom jag på att idag av alla dagar borde jag ju visat ett svenskt lack här. Midsommarafton är för mig är svenskare än Nationaldagen!

Nåväl, så  blev det inte. Istället bjuder jag på mitt sista A-England lack. Nämligen Lady of the lake. För det är ju ändå Skimmerskuggans holofredag.

Ett härligt lila hololack med lite gråton i sig (åtminstonde i flaskan!). Underbar formula och pensel. Två lager var allt som behövdes. Torktiden är också bra.

Jag "behöver" nog mer A-England lack i min samling. Fyra stycken verkar väl lite för lite va?

På bilderna har jag två lager av Lady of the lake och ett lager Seche över. Trotts att jag egentlige trivs bättre med Poshé som överlack så kan ju inte det slå glansigheten som blir med Seche.

Det var en helt underbar kvällssol när jag fotade de flesta av de här bilderna vilket underlättar en hel del när man ska fota hololack.

Today we celebrate Midsummer in Sweden so I would like to say Have a very nice Midsummer to you all! It also means that I wont be working today :)

After I used my daughter in law as a random number generator, I realized that today of all days I should have wore a Swedish brand. Midsummer is for us Swedes more important than our National Day! It's the most Swedish tradition you can think of.

Well, that did not happen. Instead, I will show you my final A-England lacquer. Namely, the Lady of the lake.

A beautiful purple holo with some shade of gray in it (at least in the bottle!). Wonderful formula and brush. Two coats were all that was needed. The drying time is also good.

Dont you think that I "need" more A-England polishes in my collection. Four seems a little too little right?

In the pictures I have two layers of the Lady of the lake and a coat of Seche over. The thing is that I do like Poshé better as a topcoat, but nothing can beat Seche when it comes to adding glossiness.

It was a wonderful eveningsun  when I took most of these images, which makes things so much easier when you take pictures of holos.
