Det har varit en något stimmig dag på jobbet. Själv har jag kunnat jobba på i rätt bra takt, men de mer erfarna sekreterarna har fått massa konstiga uppgifter att lösa. Var en sväng på gymmet innan jag åkte hem. Passade på att hämta ut paket med fina lack från OPI på vägen också.

Igår när jag hade plockat bort Depend 587 så tyckte jag det var dags att testa ett av lacken från CND:s Yes, I do kollection. CND är ju också ett sånt där märke som man sällan blir besviken på formulan när man ska måla. Jag valde det jag i flaskan tyckte lite skarpare rosa Forever Yours. Borde tänkt på att de här lacken ska vara lite skirare i stilen. Det här är en crelly och det var inte helt enkelt att få det jämt och fint. Efter tre lager och topplack såg det ändå rätt ok ut, men visst tittar man riktigt nära på vissa naglar finns där lite skavanker.

Jag trodde nog att det här skulle vara mer rosa än vad det är, det drar faktiskt lite mot korall när man väl fått det på nageln. Korall är inte min grej, men det här är ändå ett fräscht och fint lack tycker jag.

It has been a somewhat crazy day at work. I myself have been able to work at quite a good pace, but the more experienced secretaries have got a lot of strange tasks to solve. Was at the gym before I went home. Did a stop to pick up a package with fine polishes from OPI on the road as well.

Yesterday when I had removed Depend 587 I thought it was time to test one of the polishes from CND's Yes, I do collection. CND is also one of those brands that you rarely get disappointed with when you paint. I chose Forever Yours, that I thought looked as a bit sharper pink in the bottle. Should have thought og that these polishes should be a bit sheerer in the style. This is a crelly and it was not easy to get even and smooth looking. After three layers and topcoat it looked quite ok, but certainly if you look really close to some nails there are some flaws.

I thought that this would be more pink than it is, it actually draws a little against coral when you get it on the nail. Coral is not my thing, but this is still a fresh and nice color I think.

Så skönt att stämpla ut vid 16.00 idag, kan ju tyckas att det inte är så stor skillnad mellan att jobba till 16.00 eller 16.30, men jag tycker verkligen den där halvtimmen gör en del. Åkte hem och fixade till naglarna. Ska ta det lugnt ikväll, ta en promenad möjligtvis.

I Depends Colours of a Mermaid kollektion finns det ett silvrigt holo som jag givetvis blev sugen att prova. Det har nummer 587. Jag är älskar Depend som märke och det är sällan jag är besviken på något lack därifrån, men det här... Ja, alltså färgen är ju fin. Det är ett standard silverholo, men det var holosjukt som bara den och lämnade gott om kala fläckar. Efter tre lager tyckte jag att det nog var ok, men idag när jag satt i lunchrummet såg jag de där fläckarna. Ja, som ni förstår har jag bytt lack ikväll igen.

Som sagt färgen är vacker och det går att få det väldigt fint, men silverholos är inte direkt en bristvara ute på marknaden, så jag är säker på att ni kan hitta ett som är lite lättare att måla med. Synd för att hitta holo i en vanlig butik är ju inte så vanligt, tänker att folk köper det här och tror att Depend gör dåliga lack, vilket verkligen inte är fallet.

So nice to leave work at 16.00 today, it may seem that there is not that much difference between working until 16.00 or 16.30, but I really think that half hour does a lot. Went home and redid my nails. Will take it easy tonight, take a walk possibly.

In Depend's Colours of a Mermaid collection, there is a silvery holo that I naturally wanted to try. It has number 587. I love Depend as a brand and it is rarely that I'm disappointed with any polish from them, but this ... Yes, the color is nice. It's a standard silver holo, but it was soo holo sick and left plenty of bare spots. After three layers I thought it was ok, but today when I sat in the lunch room I saw those spots. Yes, as you understand I have changed polish tonight again.

That said, the color is beautiful and it is possible to get it very nice, but silverholos is not a rare thing any more out on the market, so I'm sure you can find one that is a little easier to paint with. Too bad because to find a holo from a mainstream brand is not that common, thinking that people buy it here and think that Depend makes bad polishes, which really is not the case.

June Haul!

I juni blev det enda lackinköpet en liten beställning från HM, som reade ut en massa snygga lack. Synd att man ofta glömmer bort att HM har både prisvärda och framför allt riktigt bra lack. Jag tänkte att jag skulle unna mig några av lacken från China Glaze Sesame Street kollektion under sommaren, men jag får se om jag hittar någon som vill dela lite frakt med mig.

I found out that HM had a sale on their polishes so the only brand that I bought anything from during June was HM, they actually have a lot of beautiful polishes with good quality too. I plan to buy some of China Glaze Sesame Street polishes during the summer, but first I want to see if anyone would like to share the shipping cost with me. It's soo expensive being a nail addict in Sweden!

Reader's Choice - Zoya Yasmeen

Söndagskväll igen. Ännu en bra helg har passerat, vi har hunnit vara ute och promenera lite grann, haft en kompis här som klippte maken min. Och så klart njutit av vädret, för oj så varmt och skönt det är. Nästan lite för varmt kanske, men man ska inte klaga. Idag åkte vi och köpte ett parasoll att ha på vår uteplats. Helt omöjligt att sitta där annars, ingen skugga och sol som står på nästan hela dagen.

Det har ju nästan blivit tradition med läsarnas val så här på söndagen och så även denna veckan när Pink Voltage fick tas bort och istället är det Zoya Yasmeen som åkte på. Jag köpte det här på rea hos Lyko och jag vet att många har haft problem med rinniga lack som inte torkat av de lacken, men det här var visserligen inte någon tjock formula på, men det har ju inte Zoya direkt. Två lager räckte och med topplack så var det inga problem att få det att torka. Just det, ett rödlila skimmer är det jag visar för er.

Helt ljuvligt lack! Djupet i det här är nästan lite magiskt och färgen är helt underbar.

Sunday evening again. Another good weekend has passed, we have been able to go out for some walks, had a friend here who cut my husbands hair. And of course enjoyed the weather, because oh so warm and nice it is. Almost a little too hot maybe, but you should not complain. Today we went and bought a parasol to have on our patio. Absolutely impossible to sit there otherwise, no shade and sun that stands on almost all day.

It has almost become tradition with the readers' choice like this on Sunday and so even this week when Pink Voltage had to be removed and instead it is Zoya Yasmeen who went on. I bought this on sale at Lyko and I know that many have had problems with runny polishes that have not dried at all, this was certainly not a thick formula on, but nothing strange with it at all. Two layers were enough and with topcoat it was no problem to make it dry. Oh, the color is a red-purple shimmer.

Totally lovely polish! The depth in this is almost a bit magical and the color is absolutely wonderful.

China Glaze - Pink Voltage

Fredagskväll och jag är hemma själv då maken är på semesteravslutning med jobbet. Har varit nere vid dammen och skulle fota fåglar, gick så där. Inte en fågel på plats. Helgen blir nog rätt slapp och slö tror jag. Gäller att tanka energi så man orkar 6 veckor till innan ledighet.

Ikväll blev jag sugen på ett neon lack och hittade min China Glaze Pink Voltage flaska som stått i lådan ganska länge. Perfekt tänkte jag. Pink Voltage är precis som det låter ett rosa neon lack som torkar med lite matt yta, alltså ett äkta neon. Dock var det här faktiskt rent ut sagt skitjobbigt att måla med. Jag kommer faktiskt inte ihåg om jag stannade på tre lager eller om det blev fyra. Sjukt ojämnt blev det från början i alla fall. Det rättade dock till sig efter de där lagren och topplack på. Sen valde jag att lägga matt topplack överst eftersom jag gillar matta neoner.

Alltså inte kul att jobba med, men det är ju en helt underbar färg, man syns helt garanterat med den här på naglarna. Så ja, jag kan förlåta formulan, men är rätt övertygad om att det finns bättre liknande lack där ute.

Friday night and I am home by myself since my husband is having a barbecue with his job. Have been down by the pond and was thinking that I would take some bird photos. Not a bird in place. The weekend is probably going to be quite calm. Needs to take it pretty easy to be able to work 6 more weeks before holiday.

Tonight I was hungry for a neon and found my China Glaze Pink Voltage bottle standing in the box, it has been there for quite some time. I thought it would be perfect. Pink Voltage is just what it sounds like a pink neon that dries with a little matte surface, so a genuine neon. However, this was actually quite a horrible polish to paint with. In fact, I don't remember if I stayed at three layers or if it was four. The first two layers was so incredible uneven. However, it corrected itself after those layers and topcoat on. Then I chose to put matte topcoat on top of the glossy because I like matte neons.

So not fun to work with, but it is a completely wonderful color, you can be absolutely guaranteed to get attention with this on the nails. So yes, I can forgive the formula, but are quite convinced that there are better similar polishes out there.
