OPI - Iceland collection (press pictures)

Hösten närmar sig med stormsteg och OPI släpper nu i mitten på Augusti sin höstkollektion som dom valt att kalla Iceland. En kollektion som jag hoppas att jag snart ska ha några flaskor ifrån. Jag tycker det finns flera riktigt lockande lack här.

Men så länge får ni hålla ut med lite pressbilder.

The Fall is closing in really fast and here in Sweden OPI will release their Autumn collection called Iceland in the middle of August. A collection  that I hope that I will have some bottles from soon. I do think there is some really nice colors in it.

Orly - Royal Navy

Orly Royal Navy har jag sett på en hel del swatchbilder och på alla så ser det ut att vara mycket mer knallblått än vad det är nu när jag målar med det. Jag misstänker att mitt mörknat betydligt.

Lacket har en jellybas som då är blå ( i mitt fall mörkblå) och sen gröna flecks som jag nog måste säga inte alls ser gröna ut på nageln. Det var inget speciellt kul att jobba med. Rinnigt och ville gärna hamna ner i nagelbanden om man inte var försiktig. Dock blev jag lite förvånad att det faktiskt räckte med två lager. Torktiden var helt ok. Och nu kommer ännu en sån där sak jag blir fundersam över. På en hel del bloggar som jag läst står det att detta torkar matt. Det gjorde inte mitt, men inte superglansigt heller så jag har topplack över på bilderna.

Ja vad ska jag säga, jag brukar gillar Orly lack, även om jag sällan använder några då de är svåra att få tag på här i Sverige. När det gäller att måla med så var det här verkligen ingen höjdare. Färgen är inte alls vad jag förväntade mig, men det gör faktiskt inte så mycket för jag tycker det här är riktigt vackert. Så färgmässigt är jag väldigt nöjd med lacket.

I've seen a lot of swatches of Orly Royal Navy and on all of them it looks a lot brighter and more royal blue than my bottle does. I suspect my have darkened significant while standing in the drawer waiting to be used. 

The polish has a jelly base which is blue (in my case dark blue) and then green flecks that I have to say don't look green at the nail. It was not fun to work with. Runny and had a tendency to pool down to the cuticles if you wasn't careful. However, I was a bit surprised that it actually coverd in two layers. The drying time was quite ok. And now there's one more thing that I get puzzled about. On a lot of blogs I have read that it dries matt. Mine didn't but not super glossy either, so I have topcoat over in the pictures.

Well, what should I say, I usually like Orly's polishes, although I rarely use some because they are difficult to get here in Sweden. When it comes to painting with this really wasn't a hit. The color is not at all what I expected, but it doesn't really matter because I think this is really beautiful. So when it comes to the color I am very pleased, but not the formula and not the fact that it's not at all what I expected.

Depend 7 Day - Private Beach

Idag är det grön onsdag hos Karin och jag visar ett mintgrönt krämlack från Depend 7 Days Riviera Glamour kollektion.

Det här lacket heter Private Beach och jag måste tyvärr säga att jag inte var så imponerad av att måla med det. Första lagret var väldigt skirt och ojämnt och jag fick ta två rätt tjocka lager och topplack för att få det riktigt snyggt. Torktiden var helt ok. Det är i och för sig ett pastelligt lack och dom är inte alltid så kul att måla med, men jag är rätt säker på att det finns lack i samma typ av nyans som är bättre än det här.

Dock så måste jag säga att färgen på lacket tilltalar mig riktigt mycket. Väldigt fin, men jag lär nog inte använda just det här lacket igen.

Today it's Green Wednesday at Karin's and I have a mint-cream cream from the Depend 7 Days Riviera Glamour collection.

This polish is called Private Beach and I have to say that I was not impressed with it's formula. The first layer was very sheer and became pretty uneven and I had to take two thick layers and topcoat to make it look smooth and nice. The drying time was quite ok. It is a pastel and they are not always fun to paint with, but I'm quite sure there is a polishes in the same kind of shade that is better than this.

However, I have to say that the color of the polish appeals a lot to me. Very nice, but I probably won't be using this one again. 

Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Flowers #2

Jag gillar verkligen färgen på OPI GPS I Love You och kände direkt att den var som gjord för att stämpla lite på. Och eftersom vi har blomster tema i Nail Challenge Collaborative så blev det så klart lite blommor.

Mönstret kommer från MoYou London Pro 06 och jag har stämplat med Hit The Bottle My Suitor wears Pewter.

Det här blev jag väldigt nöjd med både med hur stämplingen blev och kombinationen mellan färgerna.

I really like the color of OPI GPS I Love You and felt straight away that it was perfect to put some stamping on top of. And because we have a flower theme in the Nail Challenge Collaborative, it became a pattern with some flowers.

The pattern comes from MoYou London Pro 06 and I have stamped with Hit The Bottle My Suitor wears Pewter.

I was very pleased with how this turns out both the stamping and the combination of colors.

OPI - GPS I Love You

Innan OPI släpper sin höstkollektion i mitten av Augusti passar jag på att visa ett lack ur sommarkollektionen. Ett lack vars namn jag verkligen kan relatera till GPS I Love You för jag älskar verkligen min GPS. Jag hittar ingenstans utan den!

Det här är ett knalligt rosa krämlack med riktigt bra egenskaper. Jag har två lager på bilderna, men ett kanske kan räcka. Torktiden var bra och på bilderna har jag topplack över.

Jag verkar ha hamnat i en rosa period när det gäller lack, för jag sträcker mig gärna efter de här nyanserna just nu. Det här gillade jag skarpt. Tänker lysa upp jobbet med det imorgon.

Before OPI releases its autumn collection in mid-August, I'm will show you a polish from their summer collection. A polish whose name I can really relate to,  GPS I Love You and I really love my GPS. I can't find any places without it!

This is a bright pink cream polish with really good qualities. I have two layers in the pictures, but one might be enough. The drying time was good and in the pictures I have topcoat over.

I seem to have gotten myself into a pink period when it comes to polishes, because I'm reaching out for these shades all the time right now. I really liked this and it certinaly will lighten up my job tomorrow.
