Depend O2 - 5040 Unicorn Dream

Huset börjar se presentabelt ut och jag tog mig tid att fixa till naglarna. Dagens lack fick bli ett ur Depend O2s HOLO Fantasy kollektion.

Det här är 540 Unicorn Dream ett snyggt lila lack med fin holo. Trevligt att jobba med och täcker som sina kompisar i kollektionen på två lager. Torktiden är bra. På bilderna har jag topplack på.

Unicorn Dream har visats på rätt många bloggar vid det här laget, men nu finns ju lacken ute i butikerna också så är man sugen på något av lacken därifrån ska man nog passa på, för vad jag förstår så är det en limited edition kollektion.

Jag gillar det här väldigt mycket även om jag som lacknörd har sett en hel del liknande lack med tanke på alla som Indiemakarna släpper. Men det jag tycker är kul är att det är ett svenskt märke både till ägandeskap och tillverkning som släpper ett sånt här lack. Det tillhör inte vanligheterna och att man som icke nörd som inte ägnar sig åt att beställa lack från alla världens hörn faktiskt kan gå till en butik och köpa holo det är riktigt roligt enligt mig.

The house starts to look presentable and I took the time to fix my nails. Today's polish is one from Depend O2s HOLO Fantasy collection.

This is 540 Unicorn Dream a stylish purple polish with fine holo. Nice to work with and covers as it's buddies in the collection in two layers. The drying time is good. In the pictures I have topcoat on.

Unicorn Dream has been displayed on quite a few blogs by now, but by now this collection has hit the stores so if you are keen on any of the polishes you should probably take the opportunity, for what I understand it's a limited edition collection.

I like this very much although I as a polishnerd have seen a lot of similar since all the Indiebrands have been making this kind of polishes for a while by now. But what I find great is that it's a Swedish brand both in ownership and production which releases this kind of polish and collection. That is certinaly not a common thing and that a non-geek that doesn't order online from all the corners of the world actually can go to a store and buy holo that is really nice according to me.

 

Superficially Colorful Lacquer - Giggly

Blev ett sent inlägg idag. Försöker städa huset, men det går sakta när man har värsta förkylningen i kroppen.

Jag har ingen aning om hur länge det här lacket har stått i min låda, men det är ett bra tag är jag rädd. Jag var faktiskt lite orolig att det skulle ha påverkat thermoeffekten i lacket, men se det hade det inte alls.

Lacket är Giggly från Superficially Colorful Lacquer och det är som sagt ett thermolack. Skiftningarna går mellan rosa och lila och det har dessutom ett väldigt vackert skimmer i sig. Jag har målat med två lager och på bilderna har jag topplack också. Det var riktigt trevligt att jobba med och torktiden var bra.

Det är klara och tydliga skiftningar i lacket. När det är varmt är det rosa och kallt lila. Nu har jag inte så värst långa fria tippar, misstänker att det skulle vara ännu tydligare mellan varmt och kallt då. Jag måste säga att jag gillar det här skarpt. Det är kul med thermolack, speciellt nu på höst och vinterkanten när dom verkligen kommer till sin rätt i och med temperaturskillnaderna både ute och inne i kroppen.

Late post today. I'm trying to clean the house, but it goes very slowly because of my cold from hell that has invaded my body.

I have no idea how long this polish has been in standing in my drawer, but it's quite a while, I'm afraid. I was actually a bit worried that it would have affected the thermoeffect in the polish, but luckily I was wrong about that. 

The polish is Giggly from Superficially Colorful Lacquer and it's as I said a thermo polish. The shifts are between pink and purple and it also has a very beautiful shimmer in it. I have painted with two coats and in the pictures I have topcoat on. It was really nice to work with and the drying time was good.

It's clear shifts in this polish. When it is hot, it is pink and when it's cold it's purple. I don't have that very long free tips so I suspect it would be even clearer between hot and cold if you do. I must say that I like this a lot. It's fun with thermo polishes, especially now in the autumn / winter this is when they really come into their best because of the temperature differences both outside and inside the body.

 

OPI - Black Dress Not Optional & Champagne For Breakfast

Den här manikyren skulle jag egentligen visat i fredags, men då försvann vårt internet och sen blev jag liggande i sängen, men här kommer i alla fall manikyren som jag bar i fredags då vi var på 25-års firande.

Jag har två lack från OPIs julkollektion Breakfast at Tiffany's att visa er. Det svarta Black Dress Not Optional och det glittrande Champagne For Breakfast.

Vi börjar med Black Dress Not Optional. Precis som en del andra så trodde jag när jag såg pressbilderna att det här var ett vanligt svart krämlack, men det är det inte alls för det här har skimmer i sig och påminner en hel del om ett av mina svarta favoriter nämligen Zoya Raven. Det var helt ok att måla, två lager räcker, men jag tror inte man kan komma undan med ett.

Sen har vi då Champagne For Breakfast som jag inte tror är tanken att man ska använda på egen hand även om man kan det. Fast jag misstänker att man får använda många lager för att få det täckande. Det här består av en klar bas med prismatiskt glitter som dessutom har lite liquid sand textur. Nu är jag inte någon fan av just den biten, men själva lacket spred ut sig väldigt smidigt på nageln. Eftersom jag inte gillar texturlack har jag topplack på bilderna.

Jag blev glatt överraskad av Black Dress Not Optional, tycker det här är riktigt snyggt och kommer absolut att använda det vid fler tillfällen. Och även Champagne for Breakfast kommer att användas igen till accentnaglar, men även då med topplack, för det blir fantastiskt glittrigt och fint på det viset. I sin helhet så trivdes jag otroligt bra i den här manikyren.

I should have shown you this manicure last Friday, but when I was ready to post our Internetconnection had died and then I got sick and have been spending a couple of days in bed. So today you will at last see what I wore last Friday when we went to celebrate the kids cousins 25th birthday.

I have two polishes from OPIs Christmas collection Breakfast at Tiffany's to show you. Black Black Dress Not Optional and the sparkling Champagne For Breakfast.

Lets begin with Black Dress Not Optional. Just like some others I thought just by looking at the press pictures that this was a plain black creme, but that was wrong because this has a very nice shimmer in it and reminds a lot of one of my black favourites namely Zoya Raven. It was totally ok to paint with, two coats is enough, but I don't think you can get away with one. 

Then we have Champagne For Breakfast I don't think the idea is that you should use this on it's own even if you can. Though I suspect that you may need to use many layers to get it to cover. This consists of a clear base with prismatic glitter which also has little liquid sand texture. Now I'm not a fan of that particular texture, but the polish spread out very smoothly on the nails. Since I don't like texture polish, I have topcoat on the images.

I was pleasantly surprised by Black Dress Not Optional, I think this is really neat and will definitely use it on more occasions. And Champagne for Breakfast will also be used again for accent nails, but with topcoat because it gets so nicely sparkly that way. I really like how this manicure turned out and enjoyed wearing it really much.

Nail Art Sunday 30/10 Summary

Det retar mig att jag missat massa dagar med bloggning och kommer förmodligen missa några till då jag har andra saker som tyvärr måste göras före, men jag vill tacka alla som var med och ge er andra en chans att se alla bidragen genom en liten lista på deltagarna.

It irritates me that I couldn't be a part of the Nail Art Sunday and that I probably wont have time to make as many posts as I want to here on the blog the coming week since I've been in bed for four days and my house is telling me to clean it instead of painting my nails. But I want to thank those who did participate and make a summary so that you all can see the manicures.

October Haul

Jag har inte så mycket att visa upp, men jag kunde inte låta bli att köpa The Holo Hookup i Oktober för det var ju med Cluedo tema, jag älskar Cluedo! Och så lite lack som jag köpte inför United In Pink veckan. Om mina intentioner lyckas så kommer det inte bli något haul inlägg i November. Min tanke är att hålla på mitt köpstopp, då jag redan nu vet att jag kommer få en lackkalender i år igen. Alltså blir det desto mer i December :)

I don't have that much to show, but I couldn't resist buying the October Holo Hookup box with Cluedo theme. That is one of my favorite board games. And some polishes that I bought to our United In Pink week. If my intentions work there will be no haul post in November. I will try the hardest I can to keep my no buy. I already now that I will get enough polishes in December since I will have another polish advent calendar :)
