The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents - Jewelry #1

Den här månaden har vi Jewelry eller smycken som tema i The Nail Challenge Collaborative. Jag använder inte så värst mycket smycken och har inte riktigt koll på vad som är inne, så jag tycker nog ämnet är lite knepigt.

Men ett smycke, för jag väljer att kalla det för det, som jag använder väldigt mycket är mitt armband som jag köpt från Ung Cancer för att stödja den organisationen. Något som jag tycker är mycket viktigt.

Så på ett sätt så blir ju det här också ett bidrag till att stödja dom genom att göra en skittle inspirerad av mitt Fuck Cancer armband.

This month the theme in The Nail Challenge Collaborative is Jewelry. I don't use that much jewelry and has no clue on what is popular right now, so I think it was a bit tricky subject. 

But there is one jewelry because I just decided that you could call it that I'm using all the time. And that is a bracelet that I bought from an organisation called Ung Cancer. It is an organisation for Young Adults with cancer. They sell these bracelets to raise both money and awarenes. 

This is a very important subject for me so it feels good to do a manicure even if it is a simple skittle to show them som support.

Green Flowers!

Ni måste ju få se vad jag gjorde för mönster över OPI That's Hula-rious! som jag visade häromdagen. Jag skrev redan då att jag tänkte stämpla och det gjorde jag också.

Jag köpte ett par nya plattor från MoYou London för ett tag sedan och på Pro 06 hittade jag det här mönstret som jag bestämde att Mentality Green Opaque skulle bli utmärkt att använda i kombo med den mintgröna basen.

Jag tycker att det funkar riktigt bra ihop och var riktigt nöjd med den här manikyren.

I thought I would let you see what kind of pattern I did put over OPI That's Hula-rious! that I showed the other day. I did write in that post that I had intentions of stamping over it so here is the final result. 

I bought a new pair of plates from MoYou London a while ago and on the Pro 06, I found this pattern that I decided that Mentality Green Opaque would be great to use in combo with the mint-green base.

I think it works really well together and was really pleased with this manicure.

My Birthday Group Polishes!

Jag nämner lite då och då att jag är med i en grupp på Facebook som blivit min andra familj. Nämligen min födelsdagslacksgrupp! Vi uppvaktar varandra med lack den månaden som man fått tilldelad som sin födelsedagsmånad. Jag har lite tur och firar både redig födelsedag och lackgrupps födelsedsag i Juli.

Självklart vill jag visa upp den helt fantastiska samling lack som min lackfamilj har skickat till mig. Jag kommer inte skriva från vem jag fått vilket lack för det spelar ingen roll. Vill bara säga att jag älskar er hela bunten!

I sometimes mention that I'm part of a Birthday Group on Facebook. The others in that group has become like a second family for me and we send eachother polishes for birthday presents on the month that you have been given as your birthday month in the group. I'm lucky enough to have my real birthday and my group birthday both in July. 

And of course I want to show you all of the amazing polishes that I got from my friends in the group. I wont write which polish I got from whom becuase that really doesen't matter that much. But I do want to send a message to the wonderful persons in the group: I love you all!

Reader's Choice - Nocti Swag

Då var det lördag idag. En dag som jag ska försöka ägna åt att skriva lite blogginlägg tänkte jag. Får se hur det går med detta, är ju lite lat just nu.

Men först och främst så innebär ju lördagar Läsarnas Val och även om deltagandet var lite lågt förra veckan så var det en av de jämnaste omröstningarna jag haft här tror jag. Till slut var det Nocti Swag som vann.

Det här lacket fick jag genom ett byte för länge sen. Nocti som märke känner jag inte precis till, men om jag inte är helt ute och seglar så verkar det som att det här kommer från samma företag som gör Zoya lacken.

Swag är ett neongrönt lack som gör sig bäst lagt över ett vitt. Formulan på det här var en aning blaskig tyckte jag. Inte helt lätt att få snygg på nageln utan det blev gärna lite ojämnt. Jag har lagt två lager över vitt och sen topplack på.

Färgen är jättehärlig. Perfekt nu på sommaren, men jag tror att man kan hitta bättre lack i samma färg som det här som är lite trevligare att måla med.

Dessutom så är ju det här ett grönt lack alltså kan jag få med det i veckans Neverending Story Challenge också!

It's Saturday again. I will try to write some posts today and do some swatching. But you never know I've been a bit lazy lately.

But first and foremost it Saturdays means Readers' Choice and although the participation was a little low last week, it was one of the closests polls I've had here, I think. In the end it was Nocti Swag that won.

I got this polish through a swap a long time ago. Nocti is a brand that I don't know much about, but if I'm not completely wrong it seems that this comes from the same company that makes Zoya.

Swag is a neon green polish that looks best over white. The formula of this was slightly watery, I thought. It wasn't that easy to get it even on the nail. I added two layers over white and then topcoat on.

The color is really lovely. Perfect for the summer, but I think you can find better polishes in the same color as this that is smoother to work with. 

And since this is a green polish it also works for this weeks Neverending Story :)

The Neverending Story Challenge - OPI That's Hula-rious!

Det här lacket har inte stått i min låda så värst länge. Jag vann faktiskt det i en giveaway hos Nageldraken i våras, men jag var sugen på en ljus och fin bas till att göra lite stamping på så därför plockade jag upp OPI That's Hula-rious! ur lådan.

Ett ljust mintgrönt krämlack som har en trevlig formula. Täcker på två lager. Jag har topplack över på bilderna för att släta ut det lite, men jag tyckte inte att det var knepigt som många andra pastell lack är att måla med. Jag tror faktiskt att man kan bära det här utan topplack utan att det ser strimmigt ut.

Det här är absolut en väldigt fräsch vår eller sommarfärg och jag kan mycket väl tänka mig att bära det helt på egen hand, men den här gången var tanken att sätta lite mönster över. Det får ni se en anna dag dock.

Dem här typen av lack finns det en hel uppsjö av, men jag tror faktiskt inte att jag har någon riktigt dupe i mina ägor.

This polish has not been in my drawer for very long. I actually won it in a giveaway from Nageldraken this spring, but I was craving for a light polish that would be a great base to do some stamping on so therefore I picked up OPI That's Hula-rious! out of the box.

A bright mint green creme polish that has a nice formula. It covers in two layers. I have a topcoat on in the pictures to smooth it out a little bit, but I did not think it was as tricky as many other pastel polishes can be. I actually think you could get away without topcoat as well.

This is absolutely a very fresh spring or summer color and I can well imagine wearing it on it's own, but this time the idea was to put some patterns over it. I hope I will be able to show you that manicure another day.

There are a whole bunch of similar polishes out there but I really don't think I have any real dupe of it in my stash.
