Grön Onsdag - Green Zebra

Tänkte ni kanske ville se manikyren som jag visade delar av när jag gjorde recensionen av MoYou London stämplarna. 

Basen i det här är Pipe Dream Polish High Roller. Jag har använt Mentality Black Opaque för mönstret och själva mönstret kommer från MoYou London Pro 03. 

Stämplen funkade som ni säkert förstår alldeles utmärkt och jag tycker det blev en rätt färgglad och kul manikyr.

Dessutom funkar den ju till Karin på Vacker & Underbars Gröna Onsdag.

The Neverending Story Challenge - Nabi Hologram Ocean Blue

Mitt första inlägg i denna veckans The Neverending Story Challenge blir med ett lack som jag inte kan komma ihåg när jag köpte, men det är rätt länge sen i alla fall.

Vi pratar om Nabi Hologram Ocean Blue ett hololack som är havsfärgat och på det sättet kan tyckas vara både grönt och blått precis som temafärgerna är denna veckan.

Jag gillar verkligen färgen på det här lacket, men tyvärr så hade det lite tendens till holosjuka vilket alltid gör mig smått sur när jag målar.

På grund av det så blev det tre lager målat. Torktiden var riktigt bra och på bilderna ser ni det utan topplack.

Som sagt helt ljuvlig färg och en fin holoeffekt även om den inte är superstark. Det här är fint även när man inte är i solen och den egenskapen tycker jag är rätt viktig på just holos.

My first post in this week's The Neverending Story Challenge is with a polish that I can't remember when I bought, but it is a long time ago anyway.

We're talking about Nabi Hologram Ocean Blue a holographic polish are sea-colored and thus may seem to be both green and blue, just like the theme colors this week.

I really like the color of this polish, but unfortunately it should tendency to holosickness which always makes me somewhat angry when I paint with the polish.

Because of that I had to take three layers. The drying time was really good and in the pictures you see it without a topcoat.

As I said un absolutely lovely color and a fine holo even if it is not super strong. This is fine even when you are not in the sun and that is something that I think is needed when it comes to holos.

MoYou London Marshmallow Stamper both sticky and non-sticky

Idag blir det ett lite annorlunda inlägg. Katarina på Edgy Polish har nyligen fått in MoYou Londons nya stämplar i butiken och hon skickade upp en av varje till mig för att utvärdera dom.

Dom här finns alltså i två varianter. Bägge är s.k Marshmallow alltså riktigt mjuka stämplar, men den ena är en sticky och den andra är non-sticky. Det är egentligen precis som det låter. Sticky är kladdig som tusan på ytan för att mönstret lättare ska följa med upp och non-sticky är mindre kladdig för jag vill inte påstå att den inte är sticky alls. Inte om man t.ex jämför med en Konad stämpel eller faktiskt med den som är extremt omskriven just nu från Creative.

I have a little different post for you today. Katarina at Edgy Polish just started to sell MoYou Londons new stampers in her store and was kind enough to send me both versions to me for review. 

The stampers comes in two different models. Both of them are so called marsmallow which means that they are really soft stampers. One is Sticky and the other is non-sticky. And that is exactly what it sounds like. One of them has a sticky surface that makes it easier to pick up the pattern from the plate and the other has a lot less sticky surface. I wouldn't say that it isn't sticky at all at least not if you compare it to a Konad stamper or the one that is most blogged about right now from Creative. 

Låt oss börja med lite jämförelse mellan storlek på skrapa och på själva stämplarna jämfört med Creative stämplen.

Let us start with some comparision between scrapers that follows with these and with the Creative stamper and also the size of the stamper. 

Det här är vad du får med när du köper den nya MoYou stämplen. Två olika stämpelhuvuden och en skrapa. Jag har enbart testat det vita huvudet, kan vara så att det klara är något mindre mjukt. 

This is what you get when you buy the new MoYou London stamper. Two different stampingheads and a scraper. I have only tested the white head and it is possible that the clear head is a bit firmer. 

MoYou stämplen är till vänster och den med klart huvud till höger är Creative. Som ni ser är det ingen skillnad i storleken. Däremot är MoYous en bra bit mjukare. 

The MoYou is to the left and the right one with clear head is Creative. As you can see there is no difference in the size. The MoYou is however much softer. 

 

Däremot är det stor skillnad på storleken på skrapan som följer med. Som ni ser är Creatives skrapa ganska mycket större och även lite mjukare än MoYous. 

As you can see there is a big difference in the size of the scrapers. MoYous are much smaller than Creatives and also a bit harder than that one. 

Så låt oss då testa hur dom här stämplarna fungerar. När jag får en ny stämpel testar jag alltid först utan att prima den på något sätt så även med de här stämplarna. Sen kom jag på så här i efterhand att jag givetvis skulle testat på olika märken av stämpelplattor för det kan faktiskt skilja en hel del hur dom plockar upp mönster från olika plattor. Nu har jag testat enbart med en MoYou platta. Vill ni se mer tester är det bara att söka på YouTube.

Som sagt ingen priming och jag började med non-sticky stampern. Första försöket blev riktigt bra, men jag var lite för snabb när jag rullade stämplen över mönstret vilket lämnade lite småfläckar i mönstret, men fortfarande inte dåligt på något sätt.

So let us try how these stampers work. When I get a new stamper I always try first without priming in any way and that is the way I have tested these stampers as well. But I do realise that I should have tried them on plates from different brands because it can be big difference on how they pick up patterns from different brands. But I have only tested on MoYou London plates. If you want to see more just search on YouTube.

As I said no priming and I started with the non-sticky stamper. The first try was really good, but I was a bit to quick rolling the stamper over the pattern so there was some bald spots. But still not bad at all. Actually really good.

Nästa försök var jag inte riktigt lika snabb när jag plockade upp mönstret och jag måste säga att jag är sjukt imponerad. Så här bra har jag aldrig fått upp det med Creative stämplen. Dessutom blev jag mycket positivt överraskad av skrapan som jag trodde skulle vara för liten, men den var riktigt bra får jag lov att säga.

At the next try I took it a bit slower when picking up the pattern and I must say that I am soo impressed. I have never gotten this clear image when using the Creative stamper. And I must also say that I was positivly surprised by the scraper that I thought would be to small. I actually really liked it. 

Så låt oss gå vidare till den som är sticky och här pratar vi om riktigt sticky den klibbar ordentligt kan jag lova. Absolut ingen priming på den här heller och snälla gör inte det för då förstör ni ytan. Den plockar upp mönstret supersmidigt, men jag är absolut inte van vid den här typen av stämpel och tryckte nog lite för hårt när jag la mönstret på nageln vid första försöket, men vid andra blev det helt perfekt.

So lets go to the sticky one and we are talking really sticky I can promise you. No priming on this. Please don't because it will ruin the surface. It picks up the pattern like a dream but I'm not really used to this kind of stamper so I think I pressed a bit to hard when transfering the pattern to the nail which caused it to not stick that well at the first try, but the second. Perfect!

Jag är riktigt imponerad av bägge dom här stämplarna även om den som är non-sticky är min favorit. Är du inte van vid att hålla på med stämpling så är förmodligen den sticky att föredra. Att man dessutom redan från början får med två huvuden tycker jag är riktigt bra. Jag har varit riktigt kär i min Creative stämpel, men jag får nog säga att jag tyckte att dom här plockade upp mönstren bättre. I alla fall på MoYou plattorna, det kan ju som jag sa vara lite olika på olika plattor. En sak är säker i alla all. Dom här kommer att användas i fortsättningen när jag stämplar.

I am really impressed by both of these stampers. My personal favorite is the non-sticky. But if you are new to stamping you should probably go for the sticky one. The fact that you get two stamping heads in the startkit is really great. I have been so in love with my Creative stamper but I must say that I think that the Moyou ones picked up the pattern better. At least on the MoYou plates. As I said it can be different on other brands plates. One thing is for sure and that is that I will be using these as my number one stampers in the future.

Delush Polish - 50 Shades Of Yay

Jag tillhör dom som inte varken läst böckerna eller sett filmen 50 Shades of grey vilka jag starkt misstänker att Delush Polish syftar på när dom har döpt sitt lack till 50 Shades Of Yay. Måste säga att jag gillar lacknamnet bättre än boknamnet. 

Det här är ett crelly lack med en vit bas som sen är fylld med glitter i både cirkel och hexagonformer. Det finns både pastell och neonfärger bland dom. Själva basen var lätt att jobba med och dom mindre glittren följer med upp utan problem. Däremot upplevde jag att man får fiska lite för att få upp dom stora cirkelglittren. 

Jag tycker verkligen om den här typen av lite skira vita lack med glitter i. Man känner sig fräsch tycker jag när man bär de här lacken. För min del tyckte jag inte det gjorde något att man inte fick upp dom stora cirklarna så lätt för helt ärligt så tycker jag nästan det är snyggare utan dom.

På bilderna har jag tre lager och topplack. Torktiden var helt ok. Anledningen till att jag har tre lager är för att jag fiskade cirklar annars tycker jag att det kunde räckt med två. Vita crellys är nog en av de enda typerna av lack som jag tycker det är helt ok med VNL på och med två lager har du lite men absolut inte så det stör. Tre lager täcker nästan helt skulle jag vilja säga.

I belong to those who hasn't either read the books or seen the film 50 Shades of Grey which I strongly suspect that Delush Polish is referring to when they have named their polish 50 Shades Of Yay. Must say I like the name of the polish better than the book title.

This is a crelly polish with a white base that is then filled with glitter in both circle and hexagon shapes. There are both pastel and neon colors blended into it. The base itself was easy to work with and the smaller glitters follows up on the brush without problems. However you do need to fish around a bit to get some of the large circles up. 

I really enjoy this kind of delicate white polishes with glitter in. I think you get a fresh feeling wearing these polishes. For my part, I didn' think it matters so much that you didn't get so many of the bigger circles up from the bottle for quite honestly I think it's almost better looking without them.

In the pictures I have three coats and top coat. The drying time was ok. The reason I have three layers is because I was fishing for circles else, I think I would have stopped with two. White crellys is probably one of the only types of polish that I think it's totally ok with VNL and with two layers you have some but certainly not disturbingly much. Three layers you will almost have full cover with.

Läsarnas Val / Reader's Choice - Ellagee Rainbows All Over Your Blues

Hej där! Vi är tillbaka från ett par intensiva dagar i Stockholm där vi verkligen hann med mycket kulturella saker må jag säga. Och även hann med att bli rätt blöta av regnet också.

Idag efter lite smått internetstrul så är Läsarnas Val tillbaka och förra gången jag lät er rösta så var det Ellagee Rainbows All Over Your Blues som fick mest röster.

Det här är ett Teal färgat hololack som faktiskt täcker på enbart ett lager. Jo, ni läste rätt. Ett lager sen är det färdigt. Två kanske om man har längre naglar än vad jag har just nu för dom är kortare än på mycket länge, men en rackare gick av och jag vill ha alla i samma längd.

Tillbaka till lacket. Det torkar snabbt. Dock var borsten i min flaska ganska spretig. På bilderna har jag topplack på.

Det här är en helt suverän färg och regnbågarna i lacket är också väldigt fina. Sen kan man väl fundera på om det kanske är mer än höstfärg än sommarfärg, men holo är ju helt rätt på sommaren så jag bestämmer att det passar alldeles utmärkt just nu.

Lacken ni får välja på idag har sonen plockat upp ur otestat lådan.

Hello! I'm back from a couple of intense days in Stockholm. We have been really cultural and have been seeing a lot of things. And also we have had plenty of rain!

Today after having som Internetproblems Reader's Choice is back and the polish that you voted for last time was Ellagee Rainbows All Over Your Blues. 

This is a teal colored holographic polish that actually is a onecoater. Yes, it is! One coat and your done. At least if you have this short nails that I have right now. They are shorter than in a very long time. But one of them broke and I really dislike having different length on them. 

Back to the polish. It dries fast but the brush in my bottle was a bit straggly. On the pictures you see it with topcoat on.

This is an absolutly amazing color and it has very nice rainbows in it. You could of course argue if it is an summer color or maybe more of an autumn one. But holo is always right in the summer so I say it works just fine summertime as well. 

The polishes you get to chose from today is picked up from my untested drawer by my son.
