Share some linklove!

Senaste tiden har det varit en del diskussioner runt om bland nagelbloggarna om sjunkande läsarsiffror och även att det har blivit svårare och svårare att få mer följare.

Det här gäller ju även för min lilla blogg. Just att få mer läsare till bloggen är ganska svårt däremot är det mycket mer trafik och lättare att få följare på Instagram. Och för dom som lägger ut på You Tube är det nog också lättare att få följare. Alltså till dom nyare och något modernare forumen.

Jag älskar Instagram, men jag tycker inte att det på något vis kan ersätta ett riktigt blogginlägg av den enkla anledningen att det är ett snabbt forum där man oftast inte lägger så mycket information om det man visar på bilden mer än namnet och märket på lacket och flödet är så stort att bilderna försvinner i mängden rätt fort.

Själv älskar jag fortfarande att läsa inlägg och skriva egna också för den delen. Jag skulle nog aldrig köpa ett lack enbart för att jag sett en bild på det utan föredrar att kunna läsa om dess egenskaper som torktid och hur pass täckande det är innan jag slår till.

Sabine på My Polish Stash hade ett utmärkt inlägg om det här för ett tag sedan där hon dessutom uppmanade oss bloggare att dela med oss av lite kärlek i form av att länka till andras bloggar som man gillar och vill stödja.

Och eftersom det är ett bra tag sedan jag hade ett sånt här inlägg så var det väl på tiden.

There has recently been some discussion among nail bloggers about declining readers statistics and also that it has become harder and harder to get more followers.

This applies of course also for my little blog. To get more readers to the blog is quite difficult, however it is much more traffic and easier to get followers on Instagram. And for those who post on You Tube it is probably also easier to get followers. These are new and modern forums. 

I love Instagram, but I don't think it in any way can replace a real blogpost for the simple reason that it is a fast forum where you usually don't put so much information beside the name and brand on the polish. And it's also such large amount of pictures posting that your picture disapears among the others pretty fast. 

I still love reading blogposts and write my own as well. I would never buy a polish based on only a picture because I prefer to read about its properties as drying time and how many coats it takes to get it opaque before deciding on buying or not. 

Sabine at My Polish Stash had an excellent post about this a while ago, where she also invited us bloggers to share some love in the form of linking to other blogs that you like and want to support.

And because it's been a while since I had a post like this I thought it was about time.

Chrome Flowers!

Även om jag fullkomligt älskade att bära Mentality Bolt så kunde jag ju inte låta bli att testa hur det skulle bli med lite mönster på.

Jag bestämde mig för att inte ta någon av dom färgerna som kanske skulle varit uppenbara att använda ihop med det här utan istället valde jag Models Own Chrome Cerise att stämpla med.

Mönstret hittade jag på min alldeles nya Bundle Monster Polynesian Bm XL 108 platta.

Tja, hörrni själv tycker jag att det här blev ganska kul och i alla fall färgglatt om även inte en manikyr som fick sitta kvar så där superlänge kanske.

Although I absolutely loved wearing Mentality Bolt, I could not resist trying it out with some pattern on top.

I decided not to use any of those colors that might have been obvious to use together with this, but instead I chose Models Own Chrome Cerise to stamp with.

I found the pattern on my brand new Bundle Monster Polynesian Bm XL 108 plate.

Well, hey, personally I think that this turned out quite fun and in all cases, colorfull. It's not a manicure that I wore that long, but I still like it.  

Mentality - Bolt

Efter en vecka med gråa manikyrer kände jag att det behövdes lite färg här.

Dagens lack heter Mentality Bolt och är ett neonlila härligt lack med holo i. Färgen lutar lite åt det rosaaktiga hållet tycker jag.

Jag har två lager på bilderna, men jag kunde nog faktiskt lagt på ett till för det var lite på gränsen tyckte nog jag. Torktiden är ok, men inte snabb. På bilderna har jag också topplack på.

Det här är verkligen ett lack i min smak. Knalligt färgstarkt och lila. Kan det bli så mycket bättre?

After a week of gray manicures I felt we needed a little color in here.

Today's polish is Mentality Bolt and a neon purple awesome color with some holo in it. The color leans a little on to pinkish I think.

I have two coats in the pictures, but I could probably actually have done three because it would have made it stand out a bit more. The drying time is ok, but not fast. In the pictures, I also have a topcoat on.

This is really a polish in my taste. Bright, colorful and purple. Can it get much better?

United In Grey - Is it a snowflake?

Då var vi redan på sista dagen av United In Grey och jag vill tacka alla som läst mina inlägg och framför allt skicka ett stort tack till er som också engagerat er och gjort egna inlägg både via bloggar, vår Facebookgrupp och på Instagram.

Jag avslutar med en manikyr som min älskade son tyckte såg ut som snöflingor vilket inte riktigt var mening från början, men efter han sa det så kan jag ju inte heller tycka något annat. Jag har lacket jag visade igår Cactus Astatine som bas. Jag har stämplat med Mentality White Opaque och mönstret kommer från MoYou London Kaleidoscope 03. Fast jag tyckte det såg lite tomt ut på något sätt så det blev en liten gnistrande sten i mitten också.

Idag är det ju även Mors Dag här i Sverige så jag vill rikta en speciell kram till alla mammor därute och kanske särskilt till er mammor som är drabbade av sjukdomen vi har uppmärksammat den här veckan eller har en familjemedlem som är drabbad. För det är ju som jag påpekat innan i veckan det här är ingen sjukdom som bara drabbar den som insjuknat utan hela familjen och vänner runt omkring en.

Man kan ju tycka att ett blogginlägg på en nagelblogg inte gör någon skillnad i kampen mot hjärntumörer, men vet ni jag tror faktiskt att det kan göra det. För om inte annat så kan det kanske få någon att känna att man inte är ensam i sin situation eller sin sorg över att blivit drabbad på ett eller annat sätt och kan jag bidra till att bara en person känner det så är det värt att göra det här. Jag vet att jag själv har känt så när jag hittat blogginlägg eller Facebookgrupper med skapade av personer som gått igenom samma saker som jag gjort vad det än har handlat om. Man hittar en gemenskap och stöd som är så viktigt.

So this is the last day of our United in Grey theme week and I want to thank everyone who has read my posts and above all send a big thank you to those of you who has participated and made posts on blogs, our Facebook group or Instagram.

My last grey manicure for this time is a one that my beloved son thought looked like snowflakes which is not really what I had in mind at first, but after he said it I can't stop thinking the same. I have the polish I showed yesterday Cactus Astatine as the base. I have stamped with Mentality White Opaque and the pattern comes from MoYou London Kaleidoscope 03. Though I thought it looked a bit unfinished for some reason so I pimped it with a little sparkling stone in the middle too.

Today, it's also Mother's Day here in Sweden so I would like to send a special hug to all the mothers out there and perhaps especially to you mothers who are affected by the disease, we have paid attention to this week, or have a family member who is affected. For it is as I pointed out earlier in the week not a disease that only affects those who have got the diagnose but the entire family and friends around you.

One might think that a blog post on a nail blog does not make any difference in the fight against brain tumors, but you know, I actually think it can do that. For if nothing else, it might make someone feel that they are not alone in their situation or their sorrow over that they have been  affected in one way or another and if I can help just one person feel a bit better, it's worth doing this. I know that I have felt that way when I have found a blog post or Facebook Groups that has been created by people who have gone through the same things I have done whatever it has been about. That kind of community and support is so important.

So thanks again everyone!

Reader's Choice & United In Grey - Cactus Astatine

Lördag och vädret är väldigt grått och tråkigt utanför mitt fönster, men vad gör väl det när man har golfspel till Xbox att roa sig med!

Det är ju fortfarande United In Grey som gäller även om jag idag kombinerar detta med läsarnas val.

Så vad tänker jag fundera på idag då? Jo, igår klagade jag lite på vården, något jag faktiskt normalt sett inte gör så idag tänker jag istället ge lite beröm till vårt lands system med högkostnads skydd på mediciner. Visst alla mediciner ingår ju inte i detta, men väldigt många. I vårt avlånga land är det ju som så att du betalar som högst 2200 kronor för mediciner (receptbelagda som ingår i högkostnadsskyddet) per 12 månaders period.

Återigen vad har nu det här med United In Grey och tumörsjukdomar i hjärnan och hypofysen att göra då? Jo, för gemensamt för personer med den här typen av sjukdomar är att det går åt mediciner och i vissa fall väldigt mycket och kanske även under resten av livet. Många är nog dom som aldrig skulle haft råd att lösa ut sina mediciner om inte det här funnits. Jag kan ju bara se till vår familj där det används mediciner som faktiskt är helt livsnödvändiga för ca 150-200.000 varje år. Tänk er själva om ni inte hade något val utan verkligen behövde dom här medikamenten, men kanske till och med hade behövt ta lån för att kunna lösa ut dom. Nä, jag kan säga att jag många gånger under det gångna året varit väldigt tacksam för att jag bor i ett land med det systemet som vi faktiskt har både när det gäller sjukvård och medicinkostnader.

Saturday and the weather is very gray and dull outside my window, but who cares when you have golf game for the Xbox to entertain themselves with!

It's still United In Grey week even if I combine this with the readers' choice today. So what do I want to talk about today?

Well, yesterday I complained a bit of our health care, something I actually don't normally do so today I instead want to give some praise to our country's system of high-cost protection for medicines. Certainly all medications isn't included's but very many. In Sweden you are not supposed to pay more than 2200 SEK (260 USD) a year before you are granted free medicine for the rest of that 12 month period.

Again, what has this to do with the United In Grey theme week and tumor diseases of the brain and the pituitary gland? Well most persons with this type of disease is forced to take medications and in some cases very much medicins and for some this is for the rest of their lifes. I think that there are many that probably could never afford to bail out their medicines unless this existed. I can only look to our family. We need medications for approximately 150 to 200,000 SEK (17700-23500 USD) each year. Just imagine if you had no choice but really needed that medicine to survive and had to take loans to be able to get them. Nah, I can say that I have many times in the past year been very grateful that I live in a country with the system that we actually have in terms of both health care and medical expenses. 

Now to this weeks reader's choice polish. A polish from a Swedish Indie Brand, who unfortunately are not manufactured anymore. The polish is Cactus Astatine a very nice dark gray holo.

It's easy to paint with and covers in two layers. I have my new favorite topcoat HK Girl from Glisten and Glow over in the pictures.
