Make Up Store - Paula

The other day I received my monthly Glossybox and in it I found a nailpolish from MUS called Paula.

A little dusty green creme polish that was really nice to work with and covered nicely in two layers. MUS is not widely represented in my stash so it's always nice to try polishes from such brands. Personally, I think maybe it's a little too much to pay almost 17 USD for a cream polish, but there are also a lot of fine polish with shimmer from the brand.

I think Paula is a really nice polish and I can probably imagine that this could be good base for some nail art in the future. In the pictures I have two layers without top coat.

Läsarnas Val / Reader's Choice - Revlon Tantalize

Only a few days left until Christmas Eve and I intend to clean and decorate the house this weekend, but the Christmas tree will not be decorated until the day before Christmas Eve.

Today I show you Revlon Tantalize that you have chosen for me. A gold green glass fleck polish. A polish that it sparkles very beautiful from and I think it looks really good on my short nails.

However, it was pretty long drying time and maybe a bit sheer as well. I have three layers on and it was needed. Well, a bit slow drying time is not any major problems with a good fast drying top coat. In my pictures, it is without top coat though.

It looked slightly darker in the bottle, I thought, but I like it. Just the right amount of gold for me.

Don't forget to vote for the next polish I will show in Reader's Choice. Can not promise that there will be a post next Saturday because I intend to spend as much time as I can with my family over Christmas. Our eldest son will join us as well.

What happened with my 2013 favorites part 2

So, let's see what happened to my 2013 favorite polishes part 2. Do I still have them and if so have I used them again?

And as I told you in part 1 of this post I got this idea from The Crumpet.

My favorite Creme polish was Honk If you Love OPI from OPI and yes this has been used again more than once I actually think.

Orly Space Cadet was the Duo/Multichrome polish of my choice and can you belive it another polish that I used again!

My favorite flakie was Nfu Oh 60 and I'm a bit upset with myself that I have actually sold this.

I love foils and this is Pretty Serious Santa's Sunburn a great red polish that I have used only one time so far...

Frost is not a favorite finish and Ephemeral from Rainbow Honey.. Well, my mom actually got this bottle. So no I have not used it again, but my mother loves it!

So many glitters so little time.. I can't belive that this has stand unused since the time I took this picture. Franken Frosting It Has To Be Magic.

Favorite jelly is Angel Of Death from Delush a great polish but sadly unused by me.

To choose favorite holo was hard but Cactus Boron won and this one has been used again. Just look at that color!

Favorite Neon was Sation Loudest Color and this has also been used again :)

Among the Glasfleck/Shimmer Zoya Valerie was the winner. And it is a stunning polish that stands crying in the drawer because it feels forgotten. So, no it has not been used.

But I have to say that part two of this list felt a bit better than the first because of these polishes a big part actually had been used again. Good work Helena!

Winter Nail Art Challenge - Christmas Song/Carol/Movie

Time goes so insanely fast at least that's what I think and today it's time for Winter Nail Art Challenge again. Today we have three themes to choose from and that is Christmas Song, carol or Christmas movie and myself, I chose something that in itself is quite simple, yet became very much Christmas like I think.

I thought for a while about what I would be inspired by, but came to the conclusion that one of my absolute favorite Christmas songs is the one who simply is called The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas To You) by Nat King Cole. The fact is that older Christmas music is the best. At least according to me.

What I did is that I pimped the wonderful Kiko 846 with a Merry Christmas text that I found on a copy of Konad M12 plate using Mundo De Una's Gold paint and on the remaining nails, I made a form of reverse gradient with Rainbow Honey Judgement Bolt that  is a very fine gold glitter.

All in all I am very satisfied with this manicure.

What happened with my 2013 favorites?

Well, as the title indicates, this will be one of two posts about those polishes that I listed as my favorites at the end of last year.

The idea comes from The Crumpet and I made two similar posts last year. To my horror, I realise that I have used less of the favorites from last year than I did with the ones from 2012. Probably because the collection expanded quite a lot.

My toplist from last year was divided into colors and finishes, and so will this post be.

Let's see ..

My favorite Gold polish was 2052 from Depend and no I have not used it again.

OPI Metallic 4 Life was my favorite Silver polish and guess what.. I sold it.

Delush O'Briens Revenge was my choice of Bronze polishes. Another beautiful polish that I haven't used again.

Misa A Sin Worth Commiting was my blue favorite and I have used it again. Actually more than one time in different nail arts. And I will use it more because it's still a favorite.

My best brown polish was American Apparel Lopez Canyon a polish I think I might have used in a nail art but not on it's own again.

How can I have let this beauty just stand after used it one time and put as my number one grey polish! This is Cactus Astatine

The Green favorite was Kleancolor Metallic Green and I'm sad to annouce that I have not used it.

Does been thinking of using it again count? Yellow favorite Happy Hands Bananastand sadly unused.

Wonderful Darling Diva Polish Purple Rain was my purple favorite 2013, but no you guessed right again. It has not been used. This is starting to become embarrissing.

Zoya Amy best orange polish. I'm happy to tell you that this have been used during this year.

Favorite Pink was Darling Diva Polish BJ and this one is not in my collection anymore. I hope it has been used, but it wasn't by me.

What a great red this is. Isadora Orient Express could probably make it as a favorite this year as well if I had only used it again...

Best black polish was Zoya Raven and this one I have used again. A lot actually.

What an awful picture of this great polish. Zoya Purity was and is my favorite white polish and I have used it many times.

Shame on me. Best Teal was L.A Girl 3D Teal Dimension and it probably need to have some dust removed. No, I haven't used this one either.

So of 15 polishes I have only used 5 of them again after postin. Not a good record.
