What happened with my 2013 favorites?

Well, as the title indicates, this will be one of two posts about those polishes that I listed as my favorites at the end of last year.

The idea comes from The Crumpet and I made two similar posts last year. To my horror, I realise that I have used less of the favorites from last year than I did with the ones from 2012. Probably because the collection expanded quite a lot.

My toplist from last year was divided into colors and finishes, and so will this post be.

Let's see ..

My favorite Gold polish was 2052 from Depend and no I have not used it again.

OPI Metallic 4 Life was my favorite Silver polish and guess what.. I sold it.

Delush O'Briens Revenge was my choice of Bronze polishes. Another beautiful polish that I haven't used again.

Misa A Sin Worth Commiting was my blue favorite and I have used it again. Actually more than one time in different nail arts. And I will use it more because it's still a favorite.

My best brown polish was American Apparel Lopez Canyon a polish I think I might have used in a nail art but not on it's own again.

How can I have let this beauty just stand after used it one time and put as my number one grey polish! This is Cactus Astatine

The Green favorite was Kleancolor Metallic Green and I'm sad to annouce that I have not used it.

Does been thinking of using it again count? Yellow favorite Happy Hands Bananastand sadly unused.

Wonderful Darling Diva Polish Purple Rain was my purple favorite 2013, but no you guessed right again. It has not been used. This is starting to become embarrissing.

Zoya Amy best orange polish. I'm happy to tell you that this have been used during this year.

Favorite Pink was Darling Diva Polish BJ and this one is not in my collection anymore. I hope it has been used, but it wasn't by me.

What a great red this is. Isadora Orient Express could probably make it as a favorite this year as well if I had only used it again...

Best black polish was Zoya Raven and this one I have used again. A lot actually.

What an awful picture of this great polish. Zoya Purity was and is my favorite white polish and I have used it many times.

Shame on me. Best Teal was L.A Girl 3D Teal Dimension and it probably need to have some dust removed. No, I haven't used this one either.

So of 15 polishes I have only used 5 of them again after postin. Not a good record.

Winter Nail Art Challenge - Christmas Trees

Today the theme of Winter Nail Art Challenge is Christmas Tree and I have done quite a simple variant, but one that I like. When I showed this to my son his comment was that it looked round and charming. I think it was a positive description in any case I decide that it was.

What I am using is  Zoya Blaze as the base, the fir trees are made of Barielle Date Night and then I used rivets from Born Pretty Store that I received for review and then finish it all with a topcoat.

I think the small gold studs became perfect little baubles and if you are eager to buy them you can find them here: http://www.bornprettystore.com/100pcsset-gold-silver-round-ball-flat-nail-studs-charming-nail-decoration-p-16680.html

I'm looking forward to see what kind of trees others have made.

Kiko - 846

Bred men ändå lite rundad.

For three weeks I have had a nail that I have patched together, but now it had finally grown so much that I could cut it and the others down without any pain. So short nails, but not any patched which I think helps when you want to change polish often.

Today I show you a Christmas red and beautiful shimmer polish from Kiko that has the exciting name 846 or number, maybe I should say.

I liked the brush in this bottle. Wide but still a bit rounded. Easy to work with. Two layers of polish was enough for full coverage and the drying time was really good. In the pictures, I have no top coat on.

If you like red it 's hard not to like this polish and I like red so in my eyes, this is sovereign.

Läsarnas Val / Reader's Choice - Loreal Bling Bling Bang

Taking a break in cleaning and fixing the house to do a Readers' Choice posts. If truth be told, I didn't really worked that hard but I will.

The polish you chose last time it was readers' choice is Loreal Bling Bling Bang a polish that I got from my secret santa last year so it was high time that it would be used now. The polish consists of a blue jelly filled with dark blue glitter in different sizes. I'm pretty sure that you could get this to cover on it's own and then you get a deep blue sparkly manicure, but I chose to put it over a layer with Rainbow Honey Nyx.

Two layers on top of black and you have a wonderfully sparkly almost a bit mysterious manicure. It looks Super Nice. The glitters spread smoothly on the nail and dried really fast. I have a stock of Digital Flash over too. Two layers might not have been wrong.

I think this turned out really, really neat.
