A-England - Excalibur

Jag har fått för mig att jag inte trivs i silvriga lack, men jag tror minsann att jag har fel. För A-England Excalibur skulle jag nog absolut kunna ha på mig ett par dagar utan problem.

Dessutom är det ju så, i min mening i alla fall att ett bra silverlack är mycket smart att ha i samlingen om man gillar nailart. Mycket bra basfärg till mycket.

A-England är ett märke som jag gillar skarpt. Excalibur är ju då inget undantag. Formulan är hur bra som helst och täcker lätt på två lager. Hade jag tagit lite tjockare tror jag att det räckt med ett faktiskt. Torktiden är ju heller inga problem med. Jag har Seche på bilderna också.

På bilderna ser det ut att finnas en hel del penseldrag, men jag måste säga att jag inte upplever det så i verkligheten. Det här är ett silverlack som drar lite åt det gråa hållet och det tycker jag är bra. Det blir inte riktigt så skarpt då på något sätt. Men, som ni säkert redan har gissat så lackade jag ju med det här med en plan till att vidareutveckla manikyren....

Sammanfattningsvis så tycker jag det här är ett riktigt bra alternativ om man letar silverlack.

 

Some how I have thought that I don't like wearing silver polishes, but I actually think that I was wrong. Because A-England Excalibur is a polish that I very well could consider wearing a couple of days without getting crazy. 

And at least this is what I think, a good silver polish is a great thing to have in the collection if you like me like nailart. A great base for a lot of stuff. 

A-England is a brand that I have come to like a lot. And Excalibur is not an exception. The formula is really good and it covers in two layers even in one if you take a thicker one from the beginning. The drying time is good as well.  I have a layer of Seche on top. 

In the pictures it looks like there are a lot of brushstroke marks in the polish, but I don't think this shows as well in reality. This is a silverpolish that leans a bit towards grey and I like that. It makes it a bit softer in a kind of way. But you might already have guessed it. I did put this polish on with a manicure to be done in mind...

To sum up it all. If you are looking for silver polish this is definitly a good alternative.

The Foil Method!

Det här har ni säkert läst om massor av gånger innan, men det tål att visas igen. Och den här gången är en av anledningarna till att jag fick en lite tjockare folie skickad till mig från Edgy Polish för att testa. 

Folien är som sagt något lite tjockare än vanlig aluminiumfolie och dessutom i en behändigare storlek. Hur funkar det här nu då? 

Först och främst är ju foliemetoden till för envisa glitterlack som oftast sitter som berg om man inte har någon typ av peel off bas under. I det här fallet så är det Model City Witch's Brew som är boven i dramat. Som ni ser på bilderna så har jag haft det på ett antal dagar och det börjar flagna. Alltså dags att plocka bort.

You have probably read about the Foil method a hundreds of times all ready, but it's always worth reminding of it again. And this time I will tell you about a little thicker foil that was sent to me from Edgy Polish for review.

The foil as I said is a bit thicker than normal foodfoil i and also in a better size. How does this work then?

Well this is mainly a method to be used on glitterpolishes that has a tendency to be a hell to remove if you haven't used a peel off base. In this case it's Model City Witch's Brew that is the villain. As you can see this has been worn a while and is starting to chip. 

Det man helt enkelt gör är att man river av lagom stora bitar av folien. Tio stycken och ser till att man även har tio stycken bitar av bomullsrondeller. Ett bra borttagningsmedel är också ett måste. Depends gröna funkar faktiskt inte speciellt bra till det här. 

What you do is simply that you cut off suitable pieces of the foil and also make sure that you have some cottonpads and a good remover at hand. 

Du tar bomullsbiten och häller på remover på den. Lägger den mot nageln med den blöta ytan nedåt. 

You take the cotton and applies the remover upon that. Lay it against the nail with the side with the remover.

Sen tar du folien och viker över bomull så att det blir ett tätt paket av det hela. Låt det sitta ca 5 minuter eller något mer. 

Then you'll take the foil and puts it over the cotton and make it to a little tight package. Let it stay on the nails for about five minutes or maybe a bit more. 

När du sen ska ta bort folien och bomullen så liksom drar du den av från nagel precis som när man normalt sett tar bort lack. På det viset följer i princip allt lack med på bomullstussen. 

When you remove the foil and cotton make sure that you press the cotton against the nail like you do when you remove polish with just pads and remover. That way the polish is going to be removed the best way from you nail. 

Då kommer det se ut som på nedanstående bilder. Ibland följer inte riktigt allt glitter med, men då är det enkelt att ta bort det med en bit bomull och remover. 

It will look like in the pictures below. If not all the polish have been removed it's easy to take the rest of with some remover on a pad. 

Och så enkelt var det! And that is how easy this is!

Nå vad tyckte jag om den här folien då? Jo, jag tycker helt klart att den var bra att jobba med. Jag tycker att det var enklare att få den här tätare runt nageln än vad vanlig folie normalt sett är så alltså var den smidig att jobba med.

Well, what did I think about this special foil then? I do think that it was easier to get this denser on the nail than what normal foil is so that means that I like it and think it is a good product.

It is Lacky Corner's second anniversary today. I think the time has just gone so fast and I do think that I have developed a bit since I started two years ago.

I still think it's just as fun to write posts and paint my nails as I did when I started, but I do think that I have gotten a bit more realxed attityde the last couple of months. Nailart Sunday - Green Stripes

Äntligen fick jag möjlighet att vara med på Nailart Sunday igen!

Ni vet ju redan att den här lilla punkten på veckan ligger mig varmt om hjärtat och just idag när bloggen faktiskt firar 2-års dag känns det extra kul att vara med.

I torsdags så visade jag L'Oreal Green Couture och jag passade även på att piffa upp det lacket lite grann. Tänk att så lite extra kan göra så mycket! Det enda jag har gjort är att dra lite streck uppe från nagelkanten rakt ner mot roten på nageln med svart och silvrig nailartfärg. Ni vet sådana där små smala flaskor med väldigt smal pensel i.

Jag tycker om den här typen av nailart. Dels för att det blir snyggt, men också för att det går fort att fixa till, men även att det är enkelt och alla, jo, jag tror alla fixar detta.

Yes, I finally got the chance to participate in Nailart Sunday again.

You already know that this is one of my favorite theme of the week and today is Lacky Corner 2-years celebration so it's extra fun to join in today. 

Last Thursday I showed you L'Oreal Green Couture and I couldn't help but to do a little make over of that manicure. Is it not great how such a small thing can change your manicure so totally! All I did was to draw lines from the edge of the nail towards the base with black and silver nailartbrushes. 

I really like this kind of nailart. It looks good, it's easy to do and doesn't take much time and best of all. I think everyone is able to do this. 

Happy Hands - Tropical Storm

Jag blev ledsen att höra att Kristi som är skapare av Happy Hands inte kommer fortsätta tillverka lacken längre. Happy Hands har många roliga lack och håller bra kvalité.

Det jag visar er idag heter Tropical Storm och jag har fått det skickat till mig av Katarina på Edgy Polish, som förresten säljer ut Happy Hands lacken just nu, så passa på medans ni fortfarande kan få tag på dom här lacken.

Tropical Storm har en grundfärg som jag faktiskt mycket väl kan tänka mig att himlen ser ut precis innan stormen kommer. Lite så där gråblå liksom. Fast jag tycker att basfärgen har en ganska lugn och skön ton och inte alls stormig. Det som stormar till det är glittren i lacket som består av röda, blåa och guldfärgade i olika storlekar. Det blir ett litet glitterkaos på naglarna eller en liten glitterstorm kanske passar bättre.

Lacket i sig är mycket smidigt att måla med. Jag har tre lager utan något annat lack under på bilderna. Visst ett fjärde hade kanske inte varit fel, men det funkar alldeles utmärkt på det här sättet också. Jag gillar det här. En vacker storm som både är lite diskret och fullkomligt tokig på något sätt.

I was sad to hear that Kristi who is the creator of Happy Hands wont continue to manufacture Happy Hands anymore. Happy Hands is for me a brand with fun and original polishes with good quality.

What I'm showing you today is called Tropical Storm and was sent to me from Edgy Polish for a review. 

Tropical Storm has a base that I actually can very well imagine that the sky looks likes just before the storm comes. A bit grayish-blue. Though I think that the base color is a pretty calm and relaxed tone, and not at all stormy. What makes this polish storm is the glitters in it. Which consists of red, blue and gold in various sizes. It gets a little glitter chaos on the fingernails or a little glitter storm might suit better.

The polish itself is very easy to paint with. I have three layers in the pictures and no kind of basecolor underneath. Certainly a fourth had perhaps not been wrong, but it works just fine this way too. I like this polish a lot. A beautiful storm that both are a bit discrete and utterly stormy and crazy in some way.
