GOT Polish Challenge - Stripes

Idag är det återigen dags för GOT Polish Challenge. Temat för dagen är: Stripes eller ränder om vi nu ska ta det på svenska.

Tanken med hela det här temat är ju att återanvända gamla lack, men jag fick för mig att nyskapa även en gammal manikyr. Återigen en som jag gjorde under min första månad som bloggare. Sonen fyllde år och han bestämde att jag skulle ha zebra randiga naglar. Minns att det strulade något enormt. Nu så här i efterhand ser jag ju klart och tydligt att det berodde på att jag stressade och inte var särskilt van vid stamping. Det inlägget hittar ni här.

Men i alla fall så är det så här att ett av lacken som jag köpte i min första beställning från Transdesign, när jag upptäckt att man kunde beställa från andra länder var China Glaze White Out. Ett helvitt krämlack som jag hatade innerligt för jag tyckte det var skitdumt att måla med. Nu tänkte jag ju att två år senare har jag ju fått en del mer erfarenhet så jag blev nyfiken på om jag fortfarande tyckte att det var så dåligt att måla med.

Och ja, det tycker jag. Vita lack är ofta lite knepiga, men det här är så tråkigt. Randigt blir det och minst tre lager behövs för täckning. Och att använda det utan topplack är inte att tänka på. Men allt det där går ju att dölja rätt bra under lite mönster så det gjorde jag även denna gången. Exakt samma platta är inte använd, för jag fick ju hem nya från MoYou London och var så nyfiken på att testa dom så det blev en ny Zebra på ett gammalt lack! Det svarta är från ett Konad lack som jag också ägt bra länge.

En något lite stimmig manikyr, men den är randig och jag gillar den!

It's time for the next challenge in GOT Polish Challenge and the theme for the day is: Stripes. 

The whole thing with this theme is to reuse your old polishes, but I thought of going one step further and reuse and old manicure. This is again something that I showed on my first month as a blogger. My son had his birthday and got to choose what kind of manicure I should have. He said Zebra nails.  I remember that I was really mad after a while doing this manicure. Everything that possible could go wrong did. Now I understand that I was in too much hurry and too new to stamping to get it to work fully. 

Anyway the polish that was used then and now again was one of the first I bought from Transdesign. That is when the whole bying polishes over the Internet world opened up for me. It's China Glaze White Out a white creme polish that I hated because it sucked painting with. I thought that maybe it would be different now two years and some experience later.

But, no, it wasn't it still a stupid polish. It so streaky and you must have at least three layers to get it to cover. And don't even think about using it without topcoat. No, no you need that to even it out.  But all of this is possible to hide under some nice pattern. So that is what I did this time too. The original post is found here. 

I haven't used the same stamping plate for the simple reason that some MoYou London plates landed in my home the other day and I was really eager to try them out. So this became a new Zebra pattern on an old polish and stamped with an old Konad polish as well. 

It's a lot going on in the manicure, but it's striped and I like it!

Rainbow Honey - NYX

Jag har testat ett par olika Rainbow Honey lack tidigare och gillat dom väldigt mycket. När så Katarina på Edgy Polish frågade om det var något särskilt jag var sugen på att testa så fick jag syn på NYX ett vanligt svart krämlack.

För det är ju så att bra svarta lack kan man aldrig få nog av och jakten på det perfekta fortsätter alltid. Och det kan jag säga direkt att det här är en mycket bra kandidat till att vara det bästa jag testat.

Som sagt ett svart krämlack med bra formula och mycket bra torktid. Men nu till det allra bästa. Tar man bara lite flödigt på första lagret så räcker det med ett! Helt underbart när man ska ha det till nailart eller som jag tänkte när jag testade det här under ett glitterlack. Vilket får ni se en annan gång.

Helt klart är det i alla fall att det här lacket kommer att användas. På bilderna har jag inget topplack på.

I have tried a couple of polishes from Rainbow Honey before and liked them a lot. So when Katarina at Edgy Polish asked me if there was something special I would like to try I got my eyes on NYX an ordinary black creme polish. 

Because you can never get enough good black cremes and the hunt for the perfect one is always going on. And this I will tell you. NYX is a good candidate to be one of the best I've tried. 

As I said it is a black creme with a good formula and very good dryingtime. But now for the best part. If you just take plentifully on the first layer you actually don't need more than that first one. So it's a onecoater. Perfect when you are doing nailart with this as a base or if you like me this time want to use it as a base for a glitterpolish.  What glitter will be shown another day. 

One thing is sure I will use this a lot. I have no topcoat in the pictures.

Isadora - Black Rose

Tänk att lite ljus kan göra så grymt mycket för ett lack! Dagens lack är Isadora Black Rose och det här är urtjusigt när det är lite solsken eller lampljus på det, men annars måste jag säga att jag nästan tycker det är tråkigt.

Men ljus på har det en underbar mörkt vinröd färg, men utan ja då ser det mörkt nästan brunt ut. Inte kul i mina ögon i alla fall.

Till det positiva hör i alla fall att i god Isadora stil så är det smidigt att lacka med och täcker utan problem med två lager. På bilderna har jag inget topplack.

Do you realize how much a bit sunshine or a lamp can do to make a polish look fantastic instead of just boring?

This is a brilliant example of that. In daylight when the sun is shining or if you have some artificial light on it it looks amazing. A dark burgundy color that I love. But without light. Nah, a dark brownish look that doesn't appeal to my at all. 

On the good side is that it's in Isadora style is good to paint with and covers in two layers. On the pictures I have no topcoat. 

Förvaring / Storage

Idag tänkte jag visa er hur jag förvarar mina lack som för övrigt nu har passerat 500 gränsen. Och med anledning av det har jag förresten fyllt på min Blogsale lite grann.

Jag har tidigare visat inlägg om min förvaring, men sen dom gångerna så har ju samling ökat en del. Ni hittar dom inläggen här och här.

Nu Januari 2014 har jag två stycken möbler från IKEA som jag förvarar mina lack i. En Alex och en Helmer. Helmer är inte helt fullproppad med lack än, men i den har jag också alla nailart grejer och liknande. Nu får ni inte se bilder på riktigt allt för att jag har inte hunnit organisera bland dom grejerna än.

Avdelarna har jag köpt på Clas Olssons efter ett tips hos Fru Vesa.

In the first drawer there are untested polishes.

Only China Glaze and Zoya

Mixed drawer but mostly Isadora, L.A Girl,  Orly and OPI

 Another mixed drawer with brands that I have less than six polishes from. I think you can spot som Essies, Kleancolor, Pretty Serious and so on. 

 The bottom drawer of Alex is where I keep my remover, top & base coats in.

 And then it's Helmer. I have one drawer with Indie polishes and that is the one that grows the most right now. 

  

 And guess what? Another with untested. My untested holos and some others as well. 

Today I thought I would show you how i keep my polishes. The number has now passed 500 and that also meant that I actually have put some more up on my blogsale.

I've bought the dividers at Clas Olssons after have seen them at Fru Vesas Blog.

January 2014 my polishes is kept in two furnitures from our Swedish pride IKEA. One Alex and of course a Helmer. The Helmer isn't totally stuffed with polishes yet. But there is where I keep my nailart stuff. That you wont get to see pictures of today because I'm still trying to organize those drawers. 

Nailart Sunday - Paint

Söndag och huvudet värker. Och nej jag har inte förtjänat det alls utan vaknade helt utan anledning med huvudvärk. Vi var i och för sig på bio igår kväll och såg Hunger Games Catching Fire. Mycket bra tycker jag.

Idag är det Lelas Nailart Sunday och jag plockar fram lite grejer från arkivet. Jag tror att den här manikyren faktiskt gjordes för mitt påsktema och då förstår ni att bilderna legat och skräpat ett tag.

Ett tag såg man massor av den här typen av nailart ute bland bloggarna. Naglar som ska se ut som att det runnit färg över kanten liksom. Det måste jag ju självklart prova och även om det här kanske inte blev superbra så gillar jag den här typen av nailart och jag tror nog att jag kommer göra om den.

Jag vet att det är Orly Melodius Utopia som bas, men det lila kommer jag faktiskt inte ihåg vad det är för lack.

It's Sunday and my head is aching. And no I have not deserved it. I woke up like this with no reason to it all. We were just at the movies last night. We saw Hunger Games Catching Fire a really good film I must say. 

Today is Lelas Nailart Sunday here in Sweden and I will show you a manicure whos pictures have been laying in my archive for a while. Actually I think I did this for my Easter Theme last year. 

For a time there was a lot of paintbucket manicures showing around the nailblogs and of course that was something I had to try. My version might not be the best one, but I like the thought of it and I will probably re do it sometime.

I know that it's Orly Melodius Utopia as the base, but I can't remember what purple color I used.
