Holofredag - Zoya Storm

Ok, det här är väl egentligen inte något hololack, så jag fuskar lite idag. Men massor av prismatiskt glitter finns det i ett av mina favoriter bland svarta lack i alla fall. Så det här får bli mitt bidrag till Skimmerskuggans holofredag.

Zoya Storm använde jag som bas till gårdagens gradient och jag tänkte ni skulle få se den här skönheten för sig själv också. Jag gillar verkligen svarta lack. Med eller utan skimmer och med eller utan glitter. Om man nu ska prata om svarta med någon typ av glitter så står det här högt upp på min favoritlista.

Storm kom ut med fjolårets julkollektion från Zoya. Personligen tycker jag det var kul med ett svart lack i en julkollektion.

Lätt att lacka med. Jag har tre lager på bilderna och inget Poshé. Det blir naturligtvis ännu finare med topplack, men jag skulle ju jobba vidare på manikyren igår så jag tyckte det kändes onödigt.

 

Ok, this is pretty much not a holopolich,  so I cheat a little today. But it's filled with lots of prismatic glitter  and is one of my favorite black polishes. So this will be my contribution to Skimmerskuggans holofriday​​.

Zoya Storm is what I used as a base for the Halloween gradient I showed yesterday and I thought you'd get to see this beauty on it's own too. I really like black lacquer. With or without shimmer and with or without glitter. Now, if we are going to talk about black with some type of glitter this is very high on my list of favorites.

Storm came out with last year's Christmas collection from Zoya. Personally I think it was fun with a black lacquer in a Christmas collection.

Easy to paint with. I have three layers on in the images and no Poshe. It would obviously be even better with topcoat, but I was going to continue working on the manicure yesterday so I thought it felt unnecessary.

Halloween Gradient

Idag är det Halloween. Jag står fast vid vad jag tidigare skrivit att jag tycker det här har blivit ett kommersiellt jippo som jag inte firar, men som sagt svart och orange är snyggt ihop och naglarna kan jag gärna pynta lite grann. Och ett par ljuslyktor har jag för att jag gillade dom!

Jag målade på Zoya Storm och gjorde sen en gradient i orange med hjälp av Zoya Amy. Om jag tycker det blev bra? Jajamen!

Happy Halloween! I'm Swedish and I still think that this has turned into a commersially jippo here. When I was a kind we hardly new what Halloween was and the stores are full of things connected with this. Instead we are forgetting about our own holidays. It's a bit sad. So I don't celebrate Halloween but that doesn't mean that I can't decorate my nails a bit. Right? 

So I made a gradient from Zoya Storm and Amy in black and orange. And I love it!

Chirality - Cropsy

Ett annat av lacken som Katarina skickade till mig var glitterbomben Cropsy från Chirality.

Svagt orange bas som sen är full med röda glittercirklar, oregelbundna glitter i guld, prismatiskt glitter och guld hexagoner. Som sagt en glitterbomb! Det här skulle säkert göra sig bra över svart, men jag hade ju redan (S)cream Queen på så därför fick den bli basen.

Jag tänker inte säga att jag tycker det är snyggt, men kul är det! Det händer så mycket med dom här glittren och det är ju så mysiga färger ihop.

Tror inte man kan använda det på egen hand, men så här på något annat blir det en härlig effekt.

Att det sen är lätt att lacka med skadar ju inte. Inga problem alls med att få glittren att sprida ut sig över nageln. Jag har två lager och ett lager Poshé på bilderna.

Another of the polishes that Katarina sen me was the glitter bomb Cropsy from Chirality.

Pale orange base which is then filled with red glitter circles, irregular glitter in gold, prismatic glitter and gold hexagons. That said a glitter bomb! This would certainly do well over black, but I already had (S)cream Queen on so that is the base for this.

I'm not saying that I think it's beautiful, but it's fun! There is so much happening with the glitters and it's so cozy colors together.

I don't think you can use this on it's own, but like this over something else it becomes a lovely effect.

And the fact that it's easy to paint with does not hurt. No problems at all with getting the glitters to spread out over the nail. I have two layers and a layer of Poshe on the pictures.

Hemma och försöker hålla tyst så att jag får full röststyrka tillbaka. Kan behövas när man har ett jobb som innebär telefonkontakt med kunder. I alla fall så förgylldes dagen en del när det låg ett paket från Edgy Polish i brevlådan.

Förutom dom lacken som jag beställt låg där även ett par stycken som Katarina skickat med för att jag ska få prova och bland annat det jag visar er idag.

Chirality (S)cream Queen från nya Nails From The Crypt kollektionen. Ett intressant lack må jag säga. I flaskan ser det mörkt ut. Jättemörkrött eller nästan brunt. Första lagret på nageln blev typ lila. Efter tre lager så finns det en liten lila kant kvar nederst på nageln och det har mest med att jag förmodligen inte överlappat lagren tillräckligt väl att göra. Resten är Brunrött. Som riktigt intorkat blod.

Jag tycker det var lite knepigt att applicera, kanske för att jag inte är kompis med jellylack. Även om jag nog skulle vilja kalla det här för crelly. Man får lägga på ganska tjock i nederkanten på nageln och sen dra det uppåt för att få bäst och jämnast resultat. Tre lager räcker gott och väl.

Färgen då. Min första tanke var: Nä, det här var ju för brunt för mig, men.. Ju mer jag tittar på det här desto mer tycker jag om det. På mina bilder ser ni det utan topplack. Det är helt otroligt glansigt och fint och en väldigt trivsam färg. En snygg och proper färg. Vad ska jag säga. Den känns nästan lite lyxig på något sätt. Jag gillar hur mina naglar ser ut i den i alla fall. Lite brunare än på bilderna upplever jag nog det i verkligheten.

At home and trying to keep quiet so that I get full strenght in my voice back. May be needed when you have a job that involves telephone contact with customers. In all cases, the day got a lot better when I got a package from Edgy Polish in the mailbox.

Besides they polishes that I ordered there was also a couple of bottles that Katarina sent for me to review including the one I show you today.

Chirality (S)cream Queen from the new  Nails From The Crypt collection. An interesting paint I must say. In the bottle it looks really dark. Very dark red or almost brown. The first layer painted on the nail looked kind of purple. After three layers , there is a small purple border left on the bottom of the nail and that is mostely because I probably didn't overlapped the layers well enough. The end result looks brownishred. That really looks like dried blood .

I think it was a little tricky to apply , perhaps because I'm not friends with jelly polishes. Although I probably would call this a crelly . You need to put on quite thick at the bottom of the nail and then pull it up to get the best and most consistent results. Three layers is more than enough .

The color then. My first thought was : Nah, it was really to brown to me, but .. The more I look at this the more I like it. On my pictures you can see it without topcoat . It 's amazing shiny and nice and a very pleasant color. A stylish and neat color. What should I say. It almost feels luxurious in any way. I like how my nails look into it anyway. I do think it looks a bit more brown in reality than on the pictures.

Nailart Sunday - Halloween

Nailart Sunday med tema Halloween. Jag firar inte Halloween, men jag gillar halloween naglar! Nä, för mig som då är uråldrig det vill säga över fyrtio och uppvuxen precis jämte en kyrka så finns fortfarande Alla Helgons Dag kvar och den firar jag gärna med att gå och tända ljus och tänka lite extra på dom som inte längre finns med oss här på jorden. I alla fall inte i fysik skepnad. Den helgen som inte infaller förrän nästa är för mig förknippad med vackra barndomsminnen i form av att hela kyrkogården som vi såg från vårt hus var upplyst av tända ljus.

Men i alla fall så älskar jag orange och svarta naglar och lite andra skräcknaglar är också kul. Mina ska då föreställa små mumier och blev kanske inte precis som jag föreställt mig. Lite kladdigt och kletigt. Fast ändå lite söta. I vilket fall som helst så får dom duga för nu ska jag spendera resten av dagen med att fira min gubbe som fyller 45 år.

Nailart Sunday with Halloween theme. I do not celebrate Halloween, but I like Halloween nails! In Sweden this is a fairly new tradition with Halloween. When I was a kid we celebrated and still do something called Alla Helgons Dag you could translate that to All Saints Day maybe. It was ment to be a day to remind you of those loved ones who has passed away during the year or earlier. That is not with us physical here on earth any more. For me who is brought up right next to a church and a cementary this part of year is filled with memories of all the candles that was shining in the graveyard. I know that Halloween is on the 31th and Alla Helgons Dag is actually next weekend. But as I said. I like the nails but wont give in to this new tradition. Ok, I'm ancient!

But anyway, I love orange and black nails and some other horror nails are also fun. Mine are supposed to look like small mummies and might not have turned out  exactly as I imagined. A bit messy and sticky. Though still a little sweet. In any case, they will have to do because I will spend the rest of this day celebrating my dear husband who turns 45 today.
