Nailart Sunday - Zoya Thandie with some easy lines on!

Ibland blir saker inte riktigt som man tänkt sig. Till exempel så hade jag stora planer för hur fina mina naglar skulle vara på sonens student. Vad tänkte jag på egentligen! Trodde jag verkligen att jag skulle ha tid att sätta mig ner och fixa fancy naglar!

Kan lova att den tiden fanns inte. Istället fick det bli något enkelt, men ändå passande till mina kläder som var korta svarta byxor och en riktigt knalligt orange tunika. Jag kom snabbt underfund med att mitt nya Zoya Thandie passade alldeles lysande i färgen till tunikan så det fick det bli.

Thandie är ett härligt orange lack som drar lite mer åt korall än knallorange. Tre lager har jag på, men jag hade nog kunnat haft två om jag tagit i lite mer på första. Ett lager med China Glaze Fast Forward på toppen.

För att piffa till det lite så gjorde jag det enklaste man kan göra. Några streck i accentfärger. Ja, det är enkelt, men så himla bra det oftast blir. I det här fallet känner jag att jag skulle gjort strecken från sidan och inte rakt upp från mitten av nageln, men som sagt tiden...

Ni får även ett par bonusbilder idag. Dels mina skor som jag hade till min outfit som jag fullkomligt älskar och en bild på den roligaste blomman sonen fick i present.

Sometimes things doesn't turn out as you expected them to. For example, I had big plans for how nice my nails would be on my son's graduation. What was I thinking about! Did I really thought I would have time to sit down and fix fancy nails!

I can assure you that was not the case. Instead, it had to be something simple, but still fitting to my clothes that were tight black pants and a really bright orange tunic. I quickly realized that my new Zoya Thandie was a perfect match to my top so that was my choice.

Thandie is a beautiful orange polish that leans more to coral than bright orange. Three layers I have on, but you can probably get away with two. I would have if I had litte more on the brush on the first layer.  A layer of China Glaze Fast Forward on top.

To spice it up a bit I did the easiest thing to do. A few lines with two accent colors. Yes, it's simple, but usually it gets so damn good. In this case, I feel I would have made the lines from the side and not straight up from the middle of the nail, but as I said the time ...

Today you will also get two bonus pictures. First of my shoes that I wore and that I totally love and also on the most fun flower that my son got for present.

Ert val / Readers Choice! - OPI DS Indulgence

Då var det lördag igen och jag tänker städa... Har ni hört det förut? Jajamen, men nu är det dags att plocka bort alla extra bord och stolar och återställa ordningen i huset efter en superlyckad studentskiva. Ska bli rätt skönt att få in soffan igen.

Ni är ju helt suveräna på att välja vackra lack åt mig må jag säga. Förra veckan var det återigen en tät omröstning, men OPI DS Indulgence gick vinnande ur striden. 

Och vilket lack det är! Basen är röd, men det är så mycket guld i den så att det nästan upplevs mer som rostrött i slutänden. Det är så otroligt snyggt i mina ögon och vad det sen än är för typ av finish på det vågar jag inte riktigt uttala mig om. Det kan vara foil, men också shimmer. Strunt samma!

Det var ganska lättlackat, jag har nu kommit underfund med att mitt senaste baslack inte är något vidare att lacka på så därför är det lite svårt att veta hur pass bra det här egentligen är. Eftersom det var relativt lätt ovanpå Nubars Ridgefiller så antar jag att det är riktigt bra att lacka med annars. Jag har tre lager på och det behövdes tyckte jag. Torktiden var riktigt bra. 

Som vanligt hittar ni nästa veckas omröstning under bilderna. Jag har använt mig av min man som slumpgenerator. Alltså han fick säga tre siffror och jag tog fram lacken från mitt spreadsheet.

It's Saturday again and I intend to clean up the house... Have you heard that before? Oh yes, but now it's time to remove all the extra tables and chairs and restore order in the house after a super successful graduation party! It will be really nice to have the couch back in the house again.

You guys are completely sovereign in choosing beautiful polishes for me! Last week, it was again a close vote, but OPI DS Indulgence was the one who won the fight.

And what a polish this is! The base is red, but there is so much gold in it that it almost feels more like rust red in the end. It is so incredibly beautiful so I honestly don't care what kind of finish this really is, I dare not really say what it is. It can be foil, but also shimmer. Never mind!

It was pretty easy to work with, I have now come to realize that my recent basecoat is part of the problems I have had with a lot of polishes lately. Since Indulgence was relatively easy on top of Nubars Ridge Filler I guess it's really good to paint with on other basecoats. I have three layers on and I thought that  was needed. The drying time was really good.

As usual, you will find next week's vote under the pictures. I am using my husband as a random number generator. He said three numbers and I picked them out from the spreadsheet.

I got a shipment from Cherry Culture!

Japp, när jag kom hem häromdagen så stod det där. Det efterlängtade paketet från Cherry Culture.

Så jag kan ju inte låta bli att visa er mina nya skönheter.

The other day when I got home from work my awaited shipment from Cherry Culture had arrived. I just had to show you my new beauties!

Grön onsdag - Matte Apple

Idag blir det lite arkivbilder på en manikyr jag gjorde av Zoya Apple. Som då också passar in på Karins Gröna Onsdag. Jag tycker liksom det är så vansinnigt roligt att testa hur olika saker skulle kunna se ut över ett lack man redan har på.

Så när Apple satt på så plockade jag fram Zoya Logan och gjorde en fransk manikyr med hjälp av det, men självklart kan man ju inte bara låta saker stanna där utan fram även med China Glaze Matte Magic.

Topplacket la jag bara över Logan så topparna på naglarna blev matta och resten fortfarande vackert Zoya glansiga. Jag gillade verkligen hur det här blev. Ett av mina bättre experiment.

På tal om experiment så fick jag hem en hög med nailfoil häromdagen. Ska bli kul att testa. Jag fick dessutom  ett stort paket från Cherry Culture. Kommer nog ett flaskinlägg vid ett senare tillfälle. Som typ imorgon kanske. Då kan ni få njuta av mina fina nya flaskor medans jag själv njuter av att vara på student.

Today there will be some archive pictures of a manicure I did of Zoya Apple. This also fits in to Karin's Green Wednesday that we have here in Sweden.  I feel like it's so insanely fun to test how different things would look like over a polish that I already have on the nails.

So when Apple was sitting on I picked up Zoya Logan and did a French manicure using it, but obviously you can not just let things stay there. I just had to add some China Glaze Matte Magic.

I applied the topcoat just over Logan so the top of the nails became matte and the rest still beautiful Zoya glossy. I really liked how this turned out. One of my better experiments.

Speaking of experiments, I got home a heap of nailfoil the other day. Should be fun to try. I also got a package from Cherry Culture. Will probably do a bottle post another day.

Takko Lacquer - I Love Rock & Roll

Ok, jag erkänner! Det här köpte jag mycket på grund av namnet, sen är ju färgen fin och jag var nyfiken på märket som jag aldrig testat förut.

Takko Lacquer finns hos Edgy Polish och det här är som sagt min första bekantskap med det. Lite rinnig i formulan innan man vande sig vid det. Efter ett par naglar hade man fått kläm på att man skulle ha mycket lack på penseln. Då flöt det på bra och täckte på två lager. Torktiden var mycket bra.

När man läser beskrivningen på det här i shoppen så står det att det är en svart jelly med rosa skimmer och microglitter. Jag kan se spåren av rosa i skimret, men jag tycker nog i alla fall att det är lila. Och det är ju tur för om det varit rosa kanske jag inte hade tyckt om det!

Nu gör jag det i alla fall. Tycker om det alltså. Det är väldigt mörkt så i vissa ljus är det nästan svårt att se det lila, men inte så mörkt att det upplevs som svart hela tiden. Ett måste för alla Goth fans där ute i Rockvärlden.

Jag har ett lager av China Glaze Fast Forward över också och för en gång skull så tycker jag att bilderna visar rätt lila färg. Tack för det min älskade Nikon som jag har lekt runt med manuella inställningar på!

Ok, I admit it! I bought this mainly for the name of it. Ok, it was a nice color and a brand that I had never tried and that is also nice of course.

Takko Lacquer is available at Edgy Polish and this is, as I said my first acquaintance with it. A little runny in the formula before I got the hang of how to apply it. After a few nails I realized that the trick was to have plenty of polish on the brush. That way it floated on good and covered in two layers. The drying time was very good.

When you read the description of this in the shop it says that it is a black jelly with pink shimmer and micro glitter. I can see the traces of pink in the shimmer, but I think in any case that it is purple. And that is lucky because if it was pink I might not have liked it at all.

Because I do like it. Very much! It's very dark, so in some lights, it's almost hard to see the purple, but not so dark that it is perceived as black all the time. A must for any Goth fans out there in the Rock World.

I have a coat of China Glaze Fast Forward over it and for once I think the pictures show the correct purple color. Thank you my beloved Nikon and the manuall settings that I have been playing around with!
