New Ones!

Idag är det holofredag och det här är nog första gången på månader som jag inte är med. Jag orkade helt enkelt inte att måla om och fota. Är lite mycket i mitt huvud just nu. Och nej det är absolut inget negativt som flyger runt där inne. Tvärtom, men det är mycket planering som krävs när man har två underbara söner där den ena konfirmeras och den andra tar studenten och detta inom loppet av två veckor.

I och med detta kommer jag inte ha tid att posta alla dagar i veckan och jag hoppas att ni förstår det och tycker det är ok. Helgen som kommer nu blir det storstädning och nästa helg då drar det igång med första eventet. Ca 40 personer ska rymmas i vårt lilla hus. Trångt men hjärtligt är tanken.

Istället för ett snyggt hololack så får ni istället bilder på lite nya snyggingar som har trillat in i min brevlåda den här veckan.

Två snyggingar från ett för mig nytt märke som heter NCLA köpta via Nailmail och en hel hög med Zoya lack, men enbart tre från sommarkollektionen. Det var dom som lockade mig mest.

It's holofriday ​​and this is probably the first time in months that I am not showing you a holo on a friday. I was simply to tired to repaint and take photos. Is a bit much in my head right now. And no there is absolutely nothing negative flying around in there. On the contrary, but it takes a lot of planning when you have two wonderful sons, one that will have his first communion. In Sweden we do that at the age of fifteen and the other one graduates from what we in Sweden calls Gymnasiet and I have no idea what that is similar in other countries but he is ninteen and that is that last of the schools here in Sweden that is mandatory. He is now a grown up man who has to take the choice to either study further or start working. This all takes place in just two weeks.

In doing so, I will not have time to post every day of the week and I hope you understand it and think it's ok. This weekend, which will now become the major cleaning weekend and next weekend it's time for the Confirmation. There will be about 40 people who shall have dinner at our small house!

Instead of a neat holopolish I give you pictures of some new hotties that have came to my mailbox this week.

Two bottles from a for me new brand called NCLA that I bought through Nailmail and a whole bunch of Zoya polish, but only three from the summer collection. It was them that attracted me the most.

Nubar - Forbidden Fruit

Det här är det enda lacket som jag har ur Nubar's vårkollektion My Sweet Escape än så länge i alla fall.

Jag hoppas verkligen att jag fått ett måndagsexemplar av den här flaskan för precis som med Isadora så brukar jag tycka att Nubars formula är helt exemplariskt, men det här lacket var inte kul alls.

Man fick vara extremt noga med att inte ha för mycket lack på penseln för att det inte skulle valla sig och rinna ner i nagelbanden. Nu tänker jag dock ge det en chans till för att jag måste ju erkänna att jag målade det här i tisdags kväll vid typ 10 på kvällen under tiden jag kollade på hockey. Tre ganska ojämna lager och topplager tog det för att få det vettigt.

Färgen däremot kan jag inte riktigt bestämma mig för om jag gillar eller inte. En helt klart annorlunda orangebrun nyans på ett lack och det gillar jag. Eller det jag gillar är att Nubar sticker ut lite och inte kör på samma klara oranga som alla andra märken har i sina vårkollektioner.

Jag bestämde mig för att kalla den här färgen för hemkolafärgad. Och det är en bra sak för hemkola det är ruskigt gott! Jo, jag gillar nog färgen. Den känns som att den smälter ihop med min hudton och hand väldigt bra. Helt klart ska min lilla flaska få en ny chans.

This is the only polish that I have from Nubar's spring collection My Sweet Escape, so far anyway.

I usually find that Nubars formula is quite exemplary, but just as with the Isadora polish yesterday I was dissapointed with this one. It was not a very fun polihs to apply.

You had to be extremely careful not to have too much polish on the brush because if you had it becaume very uneven and had a tendency to run down to the cuticles. Now I think, however, that I need to give it a second chance because I have to admit that I painted this on Tuesday night at almost ten a clock while I watched hockey. Three pretty uneven layers and top coat is what it took to get it to look ok.

What about the color then. I can't really decide if I like or not. A clearly different orange brown color on a polish and I like that. Or what I like is that Nubar sticks out a bit and doesn't have the same clear orange as all the other brands have in their spring collections.

In Sweden we have a candy called Hemkola and this actually reminds me of the color of that wich is a good thing cause I really like Hemkola. Well, I probably like the color. It feels like it blends with my skin tone and hand very well. I will give my bottle one more chance to prove it self worthy.

Grön Onsdag - Isadora Atlantis

Idag är det Karins Gröna Onsdag och denna veckan har jag lyckats få ihop det och är med. 

Lacket jag visar går även ihop med min intention att varje vecka försöka visa ett lack från ett svenskt märke. 

Isadora Atlantis kommer från vårkollektionen Aquatic och är ett riktigt härligt turkosgrönt lack som tyvärr ser lite blekare ut än vad det är på mina bilder. Makens kommentar var: Det där var ju diskret och bra....

Jag brukar tycka att Isadora har suverän formula, men den här gången blev jag faktiskt lite besviken. Lacket såg ganska strimmigt och fult ut till och med tredje lagret. Det här fixade till sig riktigt bra med topplack på också, men det var som sagt lite knepigt. Torktiden var däremot inte knepig. Japp, jag tänker nämna att jag tycker om borsten.

Det här är en färg som jag gillar skarpt och kan tänka mig hur fin den är om man är lite brunbränd framåt sommaren (jo, men visst önska kan man ju alltid..).

The polish I'm showing is also linked to my intention that every week try to show a polish from a Swedish brand.

Isadora Atlantis comes from the spring collection Aquatic and is a really lovely turquoise green paint, which unfortunately looks a little paler than it is at my pictures. My husband's comment was: Well, that was subtle and discrete ....

I usually find that Isadora has supreme formula, but this time I was actually a little disappointed. The polish looked quite streaky and ugly until I applied the third layer. It evend out  really well with top coat on though, but it was as I said a bit tricky. The drying time, however, was not tricky at all. Yep, I'm going to mention that I like the brush.

This is a color that I like a lot and imagine how nice this will be when you hasve gotten a little tanned (I'm allowed to dream, right!).

Pahlish - Partridge In A Pear Tree

Vet ni vad en Partridge är? Nä, det visste inte jag heller innan, men det är en Rapphöna. Alltså heter det här lacket Rapphöna i ett Päronträ.

Basen i det här lacket har lite rapphönsägg färg faktiskt. Jo, jag googlade faktiskt. Och på en del bilder var äggen precis så spräckliga som lacket och på en del bara beiga. Kanske finns det olika sorters rapphöns.

Eller jag tycker nog att den mer påminner om sån där glass med krossad chocklad i som har smält. Alltså en beigetonad bas med microglitter i koppar, lite större i rosa och ännu större i vinrött och sist men inte minst fyrkantiga i grönt. Lacket var knepigt att fota. Min kamera tyckte det var svårt att veta var den skulle fokusera.

Jag måste säga att jag inte är dunderförtjust i själva lacket, men däremot i lackets egenskaper. Det här måste nog vara ett av de allra bästa glitterlacken jag har provat. Så himla smidig applicering. Inte det minsta tendens till att behöva dutta ut något glitter utan de fördelar sig hur lätt som helst på nageln. Dessutom så är jag imponerad av täckningsförmågan på det här lacket. Det är ju ändå ett väldigt ljust lack, men tre lager så kändes det helt opakt.

Allt det här har gjort att jag blev väldigt nyfiken på Pahlish som märke. Är resten av lacken lika bra? Jag hoppas verkligen det för när plånboken fyllts på efter diverse festligheter inom familjen så kommer jag nog att fylla på.

Just det här lacket har jag fått skickat till mig från Katarina på Edgy Polish där man kan hitta Pahlish lack och massa annat kul också förstås.

The base of this polish actually has the same color as Partridge eggs.  Well, I actually googled. And in some images the eggs were speckled eggs just like the polish and in some just beige. Maybe there are different kinds of partridges.

Or don't you think of vanilla icecream with crushed choclate in it that has melted? It makes me think of that. The base color that is. The polish is a beigetoned base with micro glitter in copper, a little larger glitter in pink and even greater in burgundy and last but not least green square glitter. The polish was tricky to shoot. My camera thought it was hard to know where it would focus.

I must say that I am not to fond of the color of this polish but in the formula and the way it was to apply. This must probably be one of the very best glitter polishes I've tried. So very smooth application. Not the slightest tendency to need to dab out any glitter, no they evend out themself without any problem. Furthermore, I am impressed by the coverage ability of this polish. It's still a very light color, but after three layers, it felt completely opaque.

All this has meant that I became very curious about Pahlish as a brand. Is the rest of the polishes this good? I really hope so because when my wallet gets reloaded after various festivities in the family I will probably get som more from the brand.

Models Own - Pinky Brown

Hög tid för ett Models Own lack här tycker jag!

Pinky Brown har jag för mig att jag har bytt mig till, men jag är inte riktigt säker. En sak jag dock är säker på är att jag gillar det. Väldigt fint duokrom effekt mellan brun, vinröd och rosa. Ännu ett sånt där lack som man känner sig fin i liksom.

Formulan var ok lite tunn, men jag lyckades komma undan med 3 lager i alla fall. Lukten däremot är inget att skämta om. Hujedamej var det luktar skarpt i jämförelse med många andra lack. Torktiden var också ok.

Jag tycker att det här är väldigt vackert och återigen är jag lite fundersam på varför det fått stå i min låda så länge.

Ber om ursäkt för bildspam idag, men duokroma lack förtjänar det!

High time for a Models Own polish here, I think!

Pinky Brown is a polish that I think I got through a swap, but I'm not really sure. One thing, however that I am sure about is that I like it. Really nice duochrome effect between brown, burgundy and pink. Yet one of those polish that you feel pretty in when you are wearing it.

The formula was ok a bit thin, but I managed to get away with 3 layers anyway. The smell however is nothing to joke about. It's so sharp in comparison with many other polishes. The drying time was ok too.

I think this is very beautiful, and again, I am a little puzzled as to why I had it standing in my drawer for so long before testing it.
