Girly Bits - Fright Night

Här blir det tvära kast!

Tänkte att ni behövde se något helt annat än gult idag så det blir raka motsatsen och faktiskt ett Halloween lack.

Girly Bits Fright Night är ett lack som jag var grymt sugen på att äga och när jag hittade på rea hos Llarowe kunde jag inte låta bli att slå till.

Det är en svart jelly bas som är full med rött glitter i olika storlekar och former. I mitt huvud så är det här ett lack som jag var helt säker på att jag skulle älska. Rött och svart är liksom min grej.

Jag la två lager av Fright Night över ett svart kräm lack.

Älskar jag det då?. Visst formulan och torktiden är jättebra och färgerna, tja dom älskar jag ju, men...

Varför kan inte jag lära mig att det spelar ingen roll om konceptet och färgerna är rätt när det finns strängglitter i lacket. Här är det väldigt små strängar, men det kan inte hjälpas. Jag trivs helt enkelt inte i det. Så nu står mitt hopp till nästa liknande lack som jag har på väg hem. Vilket får ni se vid ett senare tillfälle.

Girly Bits Fright Night is a polish that I was really eager to own and when I found it on sale at Llarowe I could not help but to strike.

It's a black jelly base that is full of red glitter in different sizes and shapes. In my head, this is a polish that I was quite sure I would love. Red and black is kind of my thing.

I put two layers of Fright Night over a black creme.

Do I love it?. Sure the formula and drying time is great and the colors, well I love them, but ...

Why can't I learn that it does not matter if the concept of the polish and the colors are right when there are string glitter in the polish. In this the strings are very tiny, but I can't help it. I simply don't like them small or not. So now my hope is in the next similar polish that I have on the way home. What polish will be my secret until it has landed in my postbox.

Påsk Tema / Easter Theme - Easter Marble

Tiden går fort när man har roligt! Idag är det redan Annandag Påsk och sista lediga dagen. Tänkte njuta rejält av denna ska jag medge. Det vill säga inte göra någonting vettigt alls.

Idag är ju då också sista dagen i mitt lilla minitema och efter dom här dagarna är mina naglar lika gula som lacken jag har burit. Har spenderat morgonen med att gnida med bakpulver blandat med citron och även suttit med fingrarna doppade i Corega lösning. Mindre gula? Hm, marginellt, men å andra sidan så springer jag ju sällan runt med nakenchock på naglarna så det kvittar faktiskt.

Tänkte avsluta med en riktigt lyckad marble. För att vara på den säkra sidan så gjorde jag bara marblen på en accentnagel.

Själva marblen är gjord med hjälp av China Glaze Sweet Hook, OPI Planks A Lot och Zoya Monica dom övriga naglarna har jag OPI Fiercely Fiona i tre lager. Hela manikyren avslutades med ett lager Poshé.

Njut nu av sista dagen i påskhelgen och ut i det fina vädret med er!

Time flies when you're having fun! Today it's already Easter Monday and the last day off. I will enjoy this day and I have to admit that my plan is to do absolutely nothing!

Today's also the last day of my little mini-theme and after this my nails are actually as yellow as the polishes that I've been wearing. Have spent the morning with rubbing with baking soda mixed with lemon and even sat with the fingers dipped in Corega solution. Less yellow? Hm, marginally, but on the other hand, I hardly ever run around without polish so it really dosen't matter that much.

Thought I would end this years Easter Theme with a really successful marble. But to be on the safe side I only did the marble on an accentnail.

The actual marble is made by using China Glaze Sweet Hook, OPI Planks A Lot and Zoya Monica the other nails is painted with OPI fiercely Fiona in three layers. And on topp there is a layer of Poshé.

Påsktema / Easter Theme and Nailart Sunday!

Idag så blir den en sammanslagning av mitt eget påsktema och Lelacks Nailart Sunday som nämligen hade temat Påsk.

Jag gav mig på att göra små kycklingar på naglarna. Till detta har jag använt mig av Color Club Almost Famous och akrylfärg.

Helt klart så kommer jag testa det här igen. Det var lite pilligt, men roligt och så glada miner är det sällan man  får av kassörskorna på Maxi som när jag skulle betala med mina små kycklingar på naglarna.

Jag känner att jag har problem med att ta tillräckligt mycket akrylfärg. Tycker det ser jättebra ut ändå tills jag fotar och ser att det nog kunde varit lite mera. Nåväl, jag kände mig nöjd och glad i alla fall!

Ha en härlig Påskdag alla vänner. Det ska jag ha i alla fall med lite våfflor framåt eftermiddagen.

Today I will bring together my own Easter theme and Lelacks Nailart Sunday that this weel had the theme Easter.

I went on to do small chickens on the nails. For this, I used Color Club Almost Famous and acrylic paint.

Clearly, I will try this again. It was a bit fiddly, but fun and I got so much happy faces from friends and from the cashiers at my supermarket as I was paying with my little chickens on the nails.

I feel that I have a problem with taking enough acrylic paint. Think it looks great until I take the photos and realize that I could probably have taken a bit more paint. Well, I felt satisfied and happy anyway!

Påsktema & Ert val / Easter theme & Readers Choise - Gradient

Förra veckan bad jag er rösta på vilken typ av nailart jag skulle göra denna lördagen som ju även är Påskafton.

Ställningen var länge väldigt jämn, men i slutet vann ändå Gradient som fick 42% av rösterna.

Nu är jag ju mitt i mitt mini tema Påsk också så självklart blev det påskfärger som fick utgöra grunden för denna gradient som också tillåter mig att gå ut i mörkret utan reflexväst!

En gradient som också fått mig att tänka på hur mycket tips jag har fått sista året sen jag dels startade min egen blogg och dels börjat läsa så många andra bloggar. Vilket tips? Jo, att vissa neonlack gör sig inte alls om man inte lägger dom över ett vitt baslack.

Det gäller absolut för Depend 035. Ett lack som jag köpte för riktigt länge sedan, men inte använt för att jag tyckte det var riktigt kasst faktiskt. Men, så testade jag över vitt och hoppsan vilken skillnad! Tyvärr så verkar detta inte vara kvar i deras standardsortiment.

Helt galet neongult lack skulle jag vilja säga. Återigen ett lack som äldste sonen satte upp händerna framför ansikten som skydd när jag visade..

Över detta har jag då för att få fram en gradient använt mig av Nail Pattern Boldness Flipping Out Hard ett lack som jag tror är i närmast en dupe till Floam. Jag har svampat på Flipping Out Hard och det gick faktiskt riktigt smidigt.

Själv tycker jag det här blev en helt galen och härlig manikyr som kan lysa upp den absolut tråkigaste dag. Och själv planerade jag att ha svarta kläder när vi ska åka på påsklunch hos min mamma om en stund. Jag lär ju ändå lysa upp rummet :) Jo, det är faktiskt så att jag har den här manikyren på mig just nu.

Last week I asked you to vote on what type of nailart I would do this Saturday which of course is also Easter Eve.

It was very close between the options but in the end Gradient won with 42% of the votes.

Now I'm in the middle of my mini Easter theme too so obviously it was Easter colors that were the basis for this gradient, which also allows me to go out in the dark without reflective vest!

A gradient that also got me thinking about how much tips and how much I've learnd this last year since I first started my own blog, and started reading many other blogs. What tips am I thinking of? Well you know that sometimes you get dissapointed of some neons. They just don't pop up as much as you want them to. But the tips I've got from various blogs is to layer them over a white base.

That is very true when it comes to Depend 035.  A polish that I bought for a really long time ago, but did not use because I thought it was really shitty actually. But, then I tested it over white and whoops what a difference! Unfortunately, this does not seem to remain in their standard range.

Crazy neon yellow paint, I would say. Again a polish the oldest son put up his hands in front of his face for protection when I showed ..

Over the yellow neon I have made a gradient using Nail Pattern Boldness Flipping Out ​​Hard a polish which I think is almost a dupe for Floam. I have used a sponge to gradient Flipping Out ​​Hard and it actually went really smoothly.

Personally, I think this was a completely crazy and fun manicure that can light up the absolutely most boring day. And since I planned to wear black clothes when we are going  away on Easter lunch at my mother's later today I guess I will bright the room up anyway.  Well, the fact is that I have this manicure on me right now.

Påsk Tema / Easter Theme - Easter Holofriday!

Trodde ni att jag skulle hoppa över Skimmerskuggans holofredag för att det är påsk eller?

Åh, nej det gör jag inte och speciellt inte idag som då är en lååång dag. Alltså Långfredagen då det också finns en gammal tradition att man ska ha tråkigt och inte göra någonting. Har hört skräckhistorier från äldre personer som mer eller mindre fick sitta hemma och vara tysta och stilla en hel dag. Dom traditionerna är ju inte så aktuella hos de flesta av oss längre. Själv ska jag till svärmor och träffa släkten. Trevligt och bra, dessutom slipper man laga mat själv!

Jag äger inget riktigt gult holo, så jag fick ju helt enkelt ta och tillverka ett själv. Nja, eller inte riktigt tillverka kanske, men jag valde att grunda med China Glaze Sun Worshipper. Ett lack som är underbart lysande gulorange, men fy bubblan för att applicera det. Strimmigt och nakna fläckar blev det. Efter att ha tagit bort första försöket till att måla med det här så lyckades jag något bättre och applicerade då Hologram. Det holografiska topplacket jag har från Queens & Shadows. Två lager körde jag på och så vips hade jag ett helt underbart holoneongult lack. Inte något superholo, men fint i alla fall.

Oh, no, now way I would do that. It's Good Friday were there also is an old tradition that one should not be allowed to anything fun at all. You were supposed to sit at home and be bored and not doing anything. Have heard horror stories from older people who more or less had to sit at home and be quiet and still for a whole day. Those traditions are not so relevant for most of us anymore. I'm going to my mother in law and meet the  my husbands family. Always nice and you will not have to stand by the stove and cook your own meal.

I don't  own a real yellow holo, so I simply made one of my own. Well, or not quite making maybe, but I chose to use China Glaze Sun Worshipper as a base. A polish that is wonderfully bright yellow-orange, but not so wonderfull to apply. It got streaky and there were bald spots. After taking away the first attempt to use the polish I managed somewhat a bit better and then applied Hologram over Sun Worshipper. That is the  holographic topcoat I have from Queens & Shadows. Two layers is what I used of that and then all of a sudden I had an absolutely wonderful holoneonyellow lacquer. Not with a superholo effect but very nice anyway.
